Okay, even though I am still recovering from surgery, there were some headlines I just had to mention here for your kind consideration.
The first has to do with former Speaker, and current Minority Leader, Nancy Pelosi. Now, when I saw the headlines that “we” gave another solar power company three-quarters of a BILLION dollars, my eyebrows shot up. But then I saw this: Nancy Pelosi’s brother-in-law is given $737m of taxpayers’ money to build giant solar power plant in middle of the desert. And what desert is that, you might ask? One in Nevada, home of US Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid. Here are the bullet points to this article:
- Obama administration approved $1bn in green energy loans days after failed Solyndra project due to be completed
- $737m handed to Crescent Dunes project in Tonopah, Nevada, for 110-megawatt desert solar power plant
- Investors include firm Minority leader’s brother-in-law and major Solyndra stakeholder
- Republicans warn Energy Department is ‘rushing’ $5bn in loans ahead of Friday deadline
U.S. officials met members of the Muslim Brotherhood’s political party, a U.S. diplomat said, after Washington announced it would have direct contacts with Egypt’s biggest Islamist group whose role has grown since U.S. ally Hosni Mubarak was ousted. Washington announced the plans in June, portraying such contacts as the continuation of an earlier policy. But analysts said it reflected a new approach to the way it dealt with a group which Mubarak banned from politics.
And this disclosure comes out after this newsflash:
Late on Friday the Obama White House disclosed a new avalanche of documents related to Operation Fast and Furious, in response to demands from Congressional investigators.
The documents show how often and how extensively Bill Newell, the lead Fast and Furious agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives communicated with senior Obama administration National Security official Kevin O’Reilly.
Among the documents the White House released was a map that Newell sent O’Reilly, documenting the final destinations in Mexico of the weapons ATF was tracking. In an email to O’Reilly, Newell described each arrow on the map as “the ultimate destination of firearms we intercepted and/or where the guns ended up.”

Check out backtrack and the black panthers in 2007.

I saw that – can you believe it? This book by Christian Adams is going to be QUITE the eye opener, I think. Considering the DOJ tossed what the Civil Rights division thought was the clearest cut case of voter intimidation by the NBP party they had ever seen, that Obama was hanging out with them in 2007 is no BIG surprise, right? Good grief…

Um, I thought ignorance was no excuse?? What a crock of BS…
October 4, 2011 at 4:11 pm |
Wow, well, it is abt time, isn’t it? It is amazing that Holder has gotten away with as much as he has. Of course, having an all Dem Congress and prez helped, but now, as Wright would say, “the chickens are coming home to roost…”
October 4, 2011 at 9:57 am |
Get this – now Eric Holder is claiming he “didn’t understand the question” when he was testifying – UNDER OATH – on the Hill about “Fast and Furious.” Seriously??? How this man continues to not be under investigation is mind-boggling.

Alberto Gonzoles could not recall.
Eric Holder does not understand
How come we get the lowest in the brain department and make them attorney general?

how many Mexican citizens and American citizens have died or are going to die due to this fiasco? If it was an underhanded attempt to get gun control here and go around the Constitution these guys should be thrown out of office and charged with accessory to murder

I am pretty sure I heard this morning that 75% of the guns are unaccounted for by our gov’t. That is just criminal.
Good question abt the DOJ. You’d think it would be the BEST legal minds, not the worst. Sheesh.

Helen, that makes no sense abt the Dalai Lama. Good grief.
And, since we cannot be legally married, we are already taxed for my health care. It is amazing hos much health care has gone up since Obama took office as the graphic at flickr shows…

GOOD that they started the F&F one today. That makes me mad every time I think abt it, especially with all of the LYING coming from this Administration (I expect nothing less, of course)…

So it’s official now? Pretty close race, that’s for sure…
Hey, congrats to your Phillies! My Yanks are trying to take this series back to NYC, but with their main “sluggers” MIA, it is making it a bit hard (though A-Rod has at least driven in some runs even if he can’t get on base). Check this out: http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/yankees/short_order_vVZaTMwrvgrOa1KtBTmEgI
Btw, our local guy, Brett Gardner, who is “only” paid $530,000 by the Yanks, is doing very well. He’s a College of Charleston grad, too.
October 4, 2011 at 10:20 pm
i like A-Rod. he never struck me as being an overpaid ass like a lot of sport figures today.
Good Luck
and when the matchup comes between the Yankees and the Phillies may the best team win. I will not ask you to strut when the Phillies win as I know your PT person would frown.
October 4, 2011 at 10:25 pm
A-Rod makes at least $32 million a year, the most of any Yankee. But at least he has driven in 3 runs, which is a lot more than Tex (#3 on the salary list) and Swisher can say.
But my Derek came through tonight – two run double. He is just an amazing player. Who would have ever thought he would have more hits than any other Yankee in history, and he does it all while being a team player, and quietly going abt just being a good ballplayer every day…
Indeed – I hope our teams do get to meet. I knew the Phillies were going to be in the postseason before the season even began (very strong in Spring Training), and they continue to prove what a great club they are. LOL abt the strut – thanks, I appreciate that! Though my PT is a Red Sox fan, so he would delight in making me do the strut!
