Obama Foreign Policy Summed Up In One Tweet *Weekend Open Thread*

by

Yep, that is all it took for one former OBAMA Administration member to sum up Obama’s Foreign Policy, according to the Daily Caller:

And there ya have it. Oh, and this is the position Brooks held, again from the Daily Caller:

[…] Brooks served in the Defense Department from 2009 to 2011 as counselor to then-Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Michele Flournoy. (Click here to read the rest.)

She is also a law professor at Georgetown, among other accomplishments listed in the article.

But yeah, I think that pretty much sums it up, don’t you?

Meanwhile, Obama claimed on Friday that the US is going to stay out of Iraq, according to The Hill:

President Obama on Friday said the United States would not “allow ourselves to be dragged back into” a military conflict in Iraq.

Obama said he is considering options for how to deal with Sunni extremists who have taken over broad swaths of Iraq and Syria, but laid the ultimate responsibility on Iraq’s struggling central government.

“The U.S. will do our part,” the president said at a brief press conference before the Marine One helicopter. “But understand that ultimately it’s up to the Iraqis, as a sovereign nation, to solve their problems.”

Obama said violence in Iraq should serve as a “wake up call” to Iraqi leaders, and that they would need to solve the underlying problems there “without resorting to war or relying on the military” of the United States.

He acknowledged that Iraq needs additional support, but emphasized he had ruled out sending troops back in. […] (Click here to read the rest.)

And just what “part” is it that the US will do, exactly? Would that be the #3 from the above Tweet from Brooks, With Concern, or #4, “Hey, Stop,” or even #5, “We Won’t Tolerate that”? I dunno, I am think I am inclined to go with #6, “Mmmm. Whatever…”

And while this Administration is a total joke, one US Senator is not the least bit amused by what is happening in Iraq. That would be John McCain, who had this to say, according to The Hill:

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Thursday called for President Obama’s national security team to resign over the fast-collapsing security situation in Iraq.

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, once a part of al Qaeda, has captured large swaths of Iraq including Mosul, a major city in the north. Kurdish forces have taken the oil-rich city of Kirkuk after reports government forces have fled. Insurgents are also rapidly advancing on Baghdad, the seat of the Shiite-dominated government.

McCain blames Obama and his national security team for the rout, saying it was responsible for withdrawing U.S. combat troops from Iraq and calling back the generals McCain said has been the successful architects of security in the war-ravaged country.

McCain specifically called for the resignation of Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. […] (Click here to read the rest.)

Hell, why stop there? If you ask me, they should fire the whole lot of them, from Obama on down. Now THAT would take care of things, wouldn’t it? Hey, I can dream, anyway…

This is the Weekend Open Thread, but before I leave it up to you, I have to share two good events before I go. This one is making the rounds on Facebook, and is a good story, indeed: “I was the flight attendant on a Memorial Day flight. Speaking with the passenger in the front row, I learned that the dog pictured was Corporal Kiddy. She had just earned her retirement after 12 years with the U.S. Marines. I made an announcement to congratulate her on her career. The cabin erupted into applause. The corporal jumped onto the nearest lap to graciously accept.”

Corporal Kiddy

Thank you for your service, Corporal Kiddy. Semper Fi!

And Happy 239th Anniversary to the U.S. Army (Saturday):

Thank you for all you do for our nation.

Finally, Happy Flag Day, also on Saturday. Long may she wave!

Now it’s your turn!

Indeed Happy Flag Day. My only consolation is that this administration shall pass someday soon. Tattered and beaten, we will never give up what our flag stands for.

No worries my friends – POTUS is going to “think” about what to do. In the meantime he has some golf to play and funds to raise.

I cannot believe that 44% of the population still supports this POS! My faith in the people of this country is being eroded more day by day. First they were stupid enough to vote for him, once can be forgiven, twice? NO!

Yeah, he’ll be doing some thinkin’ while out on the Palm Beach gold course. Awesome Commander in Chief we have, huh?

If it helps any, last I saw, only 38% support him, but I still cannot believe THAT many support him. And you are right – they have no excuses for their stupidity…
