BREAKING NEWS – No Indictment Against Officer Wilson in Ferguson! UPDATEDx2

Update at the end of the post.

I am watching the comments by Robert McCulloch, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney, out of Clayton, MO. He has made it abundantly clear that the Grand Jury went through a tremendous number of interviews, saw a great deal of evidence, heard from three different medical examiners, and more. After two days of deliberations, they came to the conclusion of NO INDICTMENT for Officer Wilson.

McCulloch also detailed where DNA and blood was found in Officer Wilson’s vehicle, on Officer Wilson, and gunshot residue.

From the information presented, it sounds as though the Grand Jury was a sober, deliberative body that reviewed all the available evidence, heard all the relevant testimony, and came to this conclusion as a result.

No doubt, there will be articles available soon that detail all of the information McCulloch gave in his presentation (still on-going).

Hopefully, people will keep their heads, and acknowledge that this deliberative body did its work, and came to the only possible conclusion. And hopefully, this will allow both the Brown family and the Wilson family to achieve some amount of closure, and bring some resolution to this tragic event. Not that it will erase the pain, but hopefully, it will give them the opportunity to come to grips with what happened without the glare of the media, the DOJ, the President, and the country bearing down on them. There has been enough ginning up of anger over this. Time for the race baiters, the antagonists, and the agitators to let it go, and to let these families deal with what happened with some modicum of privacy.

The Grand Jury has spoken. May all involved accept this decision and respect the rule of law.

Please feel free to add any new information that comes out. Consider this an Open Thread.

UPDATE: Thanks to Kinthenorthwest, we have the link to view ALL of the evidence and testimony from the Grand Jury hearing. What I have seen so far is most enlightening. Here is the link:

And I also want to share this video from an interview I saw last night on Megyn Kelly. Joe Hicks is a former Civil Rights leader, and what he has to say about the events of last night, as well as the elevation of Brown to martyr status, is powerful indeed:

And that is pretty much what I have been saying. The professional race-baiters, the media, and the top of our government have exacerbated this situation TREMENDOUSLY. They have, by the manner by which they inserted themselves, told groups they are above the law, and that this is how we now respond when we don’t like the verdict based on FACTS and EVIDENCE. We riot, loot, burn buildings, shoot a police officer, and create general mayhem. Apparently, THAT is who we are now.

That is a damn shame. And it needs to change so we ARE a nation of laws after all…

UPDATE #2: A couple of things I want to mention. The Lt. Gov. of Missouri, Peter Kinder, a Republican, was just on “America’s Newsroom.” He is NOT happy with Gov. Nixon, a Democrat, over how things were handled last night. Never mind that he was not even told about the announcement, but he, like many of us, is wondering why in the HELL the National Guard wasn’t deployed to Ferguson, why this lawlessness and destruction was allowed to happen (I figure some lawsuits are coming Nixon’s way from the business owners who lost their businesses). He also said that he would not have negotiated with violent protestors like the police did. No freakin’ kidding. So, yeah, if you were wondering where in the hell the National Guard was last night, you are not alone.

The second thing I wanted to highlight was a good post from Legal Insurrection this morning:

[…] The people who deserve the most sympathy in Ferguson are the parents of Michael Brown who lost their son. That makes them the biggest losers and I mean that in a sympathetic way.

The second biggest loser in Ferguson is the liberal media which flocked to the scene and stoked racial bias. Now that the facts are in, they look like complete fools. I mean that in a non-sympathetic way.

The third biggest loser in Ferguson is President Obama who made a hasty statement on the situation which opened with these words:

First and foremost, we are a nation built on the rule of law.

We are? Really? […] (Click here to read the rest.)

I do feel sorry for the family, but they have also exploited the death of their son. That Brown’s mother beat up and robbed his grandmother not too long ago says a lot, too, and none of it good. No doubt they are grieving, and likely not thinking straight, but for this blanket amnesia and intentional denial of the facts on the ground from the get-go, like the video of Brown strong-arm robbing a shopkeeper, speaks volumes, too. Again, none of it is good.

As Legal Insurrection noted, the media played a HUGE role in that, and should be held to account for it.

I am sure there will be more to come on all of this. Thanks for the good information in the Comments. Keep ’em coming!

Oh, great – Obama is going to speak shortly. Because he, the Professional Race baiters, and the DOJ, haven’t inserted themselves into this issue enough.

Again, it is sad that Brown lost his life. But the Media, the race baiters like Sharpton, and this Administration, tremendously ginned up this issue. Michael Brown is not the only young person to ever be killed by a police officer, after all, but you have NEVER seen this kind of ratcheted up anger and media frenzy as we are seeing with this particular case.

Really tired of this inciting of mob mentality by those who are supposed to know better, and be better.

The Black Caucus is getting in on it, too, according to Megyn Kelly. They claimed the verdict was a “slap in the face,” and extended that sentiment to the entire country.

What is a “slap in the face” is that people think they are above the law, and to not have the law applied equally across the citizenry.

I sure have never seen this kind of outrage for a white person being killed by the police EVER. So much for the Great Race Uniter.

  2. Cindyindie Says:

During the waiting-for-verdict period, I was listening to the manipulated masses in Ferguson and beyond, and it brought to mind my favorite quote from the brilliant (IMO) H. L. Mencken. I had this quote on my wall all through college:

“Injustice is relatively easy to bear. What stings, is justice.”

Gosh does that apply to those people.
This decision of justice will sting those who have forfeited what is right for all that is wrong with not allowing the case to take its legal route. They never wanted justice…they wanted to be right. They just don’t get it.

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

What a great quote! That does sum it up perfectly.

I am so sick of the outrage, and violence, that this is causing. It isn’t like Officer Wilson just decided to go gun down some black youth, for heaven’s sake. Brown BROKE HIS FACE and tried to get his gun. ANY police officer would do what was necessary in that situation. As I understand it, they are trained to NEVER let their gun fall into the hands of a criminal they are arresting. Brown, while his family is surely mourning his loss, and rightly so, WAS a criminal! I am so sick of this elevation to sainthood of people who do not deserve it.

And I am really sick of Obama and what he has done to this nation inserting himself where he doesn’t belong. HE and HOLDER made this so much worse than it needed to ever be…

      • Cindyindie Says:

Absolutely—you’re right on point! The bood will be on their (Holder and Obama) hands!

When I saw the fires and destruction on TV right now, I thought ” Wouldn’t Martin Luther King, Jr. be SO proud!” Ha!
        He would be LIVID!!

        • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

Cuz’n, I just heard a Civil Rights leader say that VERY thing abt what is happening in Ferguson. He was appalled at what people were doing.

He was also appalled that people like Mike Brown, a robber who attacked a police officer, is being included in the list of actual Civil Rights leaders, like Rosa Parks. He was not at ALL amused abt that.

I continue to be disturbed at those regular contributors on Fox who rant and rave abt the decision, claiming a jury trial would have made a difference because they would have heard both sides, despite the fact that the Grand Jury DID hear both sides.

Bottom line, this robber, this criminal, has been elevated, and people are acting like lawless morons, encouraged by Obama and Holder (the Civil Rights leader said Obama was NOT helping at all).

This is what “justice” is in the USA today. Mob rule.

  3. kinthenorthwest Says:

Amy goo post and well written.
With so many blacks who have really made themselves such great examples of how one can become someone, even from nothing why does Obama keep on putting up these thugs as examples that people should look up to.
Why not people like …Barry Black, Condoleezza Rice, West, Mia Love, Tim Scott, Carson, Cain and the list goes on(these are just the ones I pick up off the top of my head–Amy I know you could really add to the list).

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

Thanks, Kin – and thank you for the link for the evidence in the hearing. I appreciate it!

      • kinthenorthwest Says:

You might not want to thank me — Its a ton ..but its a lot different than anyone thought..What I saw did show that Dorian and Brown were both attacking Wilson.
From what I have seen No Way should Wilson have been indicted.

        • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

It is definitely informative. One thing I learned was that despite earlier reporting, Officer Wilson’s eye socket wasn’t broken, but he did suffer a number of contusions on his face. It is good to have the actual information, that’s for sure.

And just in case anyone is wondering why in the world I am up at 1:30 my time, we had a big thunderstorm here and my senior dog woke me up. After I got her calmed down (meds – she already had on her thunder shirt). I made the mistake of turning on Megyn Kelly. I have been so disgusted by what I have seen, it has been hard to fall back asleep. but time to try again…

  5. Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

I just saw a comment by the 2 Million Bikers to DC at Facebook abt where the hell is the National Guard in Ferguson? They were promised to be there, but are nowhere to be seen. There was supposition on the part of the poster that Holder might have had something to do with it.

And they posted this link abt a police officer being shot there:

Thugs in the White House and DOJ and mobs in the street. Welcome to Obamaland.

  10. HELENK3 Says:

what backtrack said, and what he could have said

  11. HELENK3 Says:

as long as the black community glorify thugs and trash successful law abiding black citizens things like this will happen.
backtrack, holder, the black caucus have done nothing but exploit the black community and blame others for their problems.
think about the different way these people are treated by the blacks

mike brown. tryvon martin, abu jamal. treated as white victims.

Ben Carson, Alan West, Mia Love, treated with scorn

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

Very well said, Helen. That is exactly right. The black community has been exploited and have allowed themselves to be used in that manner.

And what a stunning list – that really does sum it up, doesn’t it?

  12. HELENK3 Says:

  14. HELENK3 Says:

Ferguson mayor called for National Guard and no one responded

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

That is truly upsetting. I am sure the Mayor is furious, especially seeing how Ferguson looks this morning. The Governor REALLY let Ferguson down…

  15. foxyladi14 Says:

Bottom line we are a nation of laws. That must be obeyed by Everyone. 😦

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

Yes, it SHOULD be. Beginning with the very top down to every citizen. NO ONE should be above the law, no one.

  16. HELENK3 Says:

it will be a ghost town

  17. kinthenorthwest Says:

In this article is a video of the group with Brown’s mother yelling burn it down after the indictment was announced.

    • kinthenorthwest Says:

Oh and listen to the mother yelling I never did nothing wrong. — H3LL that lady took 20 thugs and beat Brown’s grandmother with a lead pipe.

      • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

No kidding, huh? I’d say she surely did do something wrong. She broke the law for starters, but while I know children often do things in contravention to how they were reared, one has to wonder just how far from the tree that apple fell.

Michael Brown’s father seems like the calmest, most reasonable one, of the bunch. Too bad people didn’t listen to him.

  18. HELENK3 Says:

now the National Guard shows up

    • kinthenorthwest Says:

Like one of the commentators said —Did the national guard help with the looters or only keep the police in line and from doing their job.

  19. kenoshamarge Says:

As if Holder and Obama hadn’t done enough to fan the flames Holder said that he might still fill a “civil suit” against officer Wilson. Typical from the Department of Injustice these days. Officer Wilson did nothing wrong and yet his career is over and his life is in ruins. Lord knows if he will ever be able to get it back to any semblance of normalcy. And Jerkface Holder keeps on making things worth.

    • kinthenorthwest Says:

TV is talking about how the DOJ still has pending charges, and that the Brown Family can file a wrongful death suit.

    • piper Says:

Have to keep them riled up so they’ll overlook all the things obama promised and never delivered. Plus he has new friends to cultivate into the new progressive party.

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

Oh, I knew that was coming. Attorneys and judges keep saying that the Civil Rights threshold is a very high one, and they would be hard pressed to reach it given the evidence.

And speaking of, it still amazes me to hear people like Beckel go on and on abt the community and this happening allw hile ignoring that BROWN was a criminal and the one who attacked the police officer. He, and his Dem. ilk, keep attacking the police force there as if they are out of control when in fact, it was BROWN who was out of control.

I know, I know, why let facts influence opinion??

  20. kinthenorthwest Says:

I didn’t know what I would expect…But the headline are not indicative of what I found.
I keep rereading the twits and can’t see anything wrong with them..Am I now a biased person.

backtrack did not listen to proecutors announcement before he started spewing

    • piper Says:

That’s bec. he had received the official word earlier in the day giving his speechwriters time to word his ‘talk.’

      • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

        LOL, Piper – no doubt.

And Helen, why should we be surprised that Obama was speaking abt something when he knew none of the pertinent facts (if he really hadn’t been given the word for his speechwriters to craft his “spontaneous remarks,” as Piper noted)?

    • kinthenorthwest Says:

But Obama’s speech was what helped build the riots.

  22. Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

Okay, this is SO not related to the Ferguson ruling, but it brought a HUGE smile to my face when I saw it last night, and I think Marge will like it. Oh, and if anyone is a fan of Super Mario Brothers, you will DEFINITELY like this. It is Sadie Robertson’s Freestyle dance from the DWTS Finals last night:

Isn’t that just the cutest dance? Oh, and the judges wanted to see her Duck Dynasty Samba again. She rocked it!

Now I don’t want to spoil it (like ABC News did for many across the East Coast when they interrupted for the Ferguson verdict – at least our local affiliate showed the rest of it anyway) in case someone dvr’ed the show and don’t know who the Final Three are for tonight’s conclusion, but I’ll tell you if you want to know!

    • kenoshamarge Says:

Oh do tell please! That is if it won’t spoil it for someone else.

      • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

Well, Sadie made it into the FINAL THREE!! They decide tonight! The other two people are both professional actresses, and one of them was a professional dancer, Alphonso Ribeiro, who was on “Fresh Prince,” danced on Broadway, and in a Michael Jackson video when he was young (he is excellent, btw), and Janel Parrish who is on “Dirty Little Liars.”

Again, Sadie has had no formal dance training at all, but you sure can’t tell it. Talk abt a natural!

  23. HELENK3 Says:

most of the businesses destroyed were minority owned

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

I just saw an owner cleaning up the debris of his business asking, “how am I going to feed my kids??” Just heartbreaking.

Honestly, I think these business owners should file a suit against Gov. Nixon for not deploying the Guard. And if the Guard were not deployed because Holder told Nixon to hold off, sue Holder, too. Why in the hell should these good people who work hard for a living LOSE their living because the state failed to act even with much fair warning??

  24. kinthenorthwest Says:

Anyone watching this pile of SHIT they calling a press conference
There are going to be even more riots. Crump with Sharpton behind him…There will be more violence.
They still saying it was all WIlson’s fault…That the police are supposed to protect them not shoot unarmed blacks.
These guys are so looney…I can’t listen any more…Next will be Sharpton i spouting his racism comments.
They want a Michael Brown Law. LOL

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

I had to change the channel, Kin. Seriously. I was yelling at the tv when Crump was going on and on abt Brown and the treatment of people of color. Not ONCE did he EVER mention that Brown BROKE THE LAW. So while he was blathering on abt us all being American citizens, it was crystal clear that he doesn’t think the same laws apply to them as to us. It is just infuriating.

And it is SICKENING. I cannot BELIEVE what Obama and his minions have done to this country in terms of race relations. They have set us back decades – DECADES. I am so angry abt that, watching them dismantle all the hard work of SO many, including MLK, without whom no one would give a damn who Sharpton was (and I wish they would stop giving him so much credibility. He has been WRONG every single time.).

And speaking of being wrong every time, so has the media. They were wrong when Rep. Giffords was shot, they were wrong abt Aurora, they were wrong abt Sandy Hook, they were wrong abt Trayvon Martin, and they were wrong abt Michael Brown. Yet, despite ALL the evidence now in. how many outlets are doing mea culpas for inciting so much racial animus??

      • HELENK3 Says:

H3LL these people have no respect, pride or anything ..They are actually worse than THUGS…who feel they are entitled to live their by their own rules and ways, no matter who they hurt and kill along the way.

  28. HELENK3 Says:

justice was done, but the protesters did not want justice

  29. HELENK3 Says:

A spokesman for the St. Louis County prosecutor’s office explains the decision to release the grand jury’s findings after 8 pm local time: ‘We coordinated with law enforcement, gave schools time to get all children home and in a safe location, gave businesses time to make a decision regarding their employees’ safety, prepared our statement and then made the announcement. We also had to give media time to set up’ – @riverfronttimes

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

I heard them say that this morning, and then I heard this Richard guy on Gretchen’s show on the way home from the store. He was the epitome of what is wrong with logical thinking in this country. He was mad at happened at night, and blamed ALL the rioting on that. He was mad that the prosecutor released the info when he did, thus claiming the whole process was tainted, and on and on and on he went blaming one thing and another, but NEVER those responsible for the destruction. Typical.

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

Sharpton is such a piece of work. I cannot believe he is now an advisor to Obama. THAT says a lot, doesn’t it?? He has inflamed this situation DRAMATICALLY. Hard to take a crook and liar like him seriously, yet it seems many in the black community do. Cannot imagine why…

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

An old, old friend of mine is a Corrections officer. He just mentioned at my Facebook page (where we are having a discussion abt this whole event) that if he and another officer were escorting a prisoner, and that prisoner went for his gun, the outcome would likely be the same.

Officers don’t play when it comes to people trying to take their weapons, nor should they. Wilson no doubt feared for his life. Who wouldn’t have under those circumstances? It has nothing to do with his color, and everything to do with his actions…

      • kinthenorthwest Says:

Around 1/3 of On Duty Law Enforcement Deaths are due to unarmed criminals

I saw Kinder this morning (as I noted in the update above). He was HOT under the collar, and well he should have been. It was a dereliction of duty for the governor to not call out the National Guard last night, and it sure as hell was wrong to not let the Lt. Gov. know what was going on!

But for an elected official to watch the destruction of a town in his state and feel so helpless must be torturous. Thanks so much for the video!

      • kinthenorthwest Says:

I am literally scared for my country and my fellow Americans.

      I didn’t realize that…
      Damn that is SCARY

      • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

Yeah, isn’t that crazy?? Obama did that shortly after Sharpton inserted himself into the whole situation. That Obama picked HIM, the man who continues to stoke the fires of racial discord as the one to handle it says everything.

Btw, Obama is speaking now. I had to mute it.

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

I am sick to DEATH of no one taking ANY responsibility for their own actions, for blaming EVERYTHING on someone else, for acting as if they are entitled to be above the law. Sick of it. Absolutely sick of it. And the sheer lack of acknowledgment of what Brown did, painting him as a poor little guy who was gunned down by a racist cop, is infuriating.

  41. HELENK3 Says:
