Holder’s Department Of In-Justice Inflames, And More *Open Thread*

Unfortunately, Ferguson, Missouri is in the news again. This time, it is the targeting of two police officers by a “peaceful” protest turned violent. Again.

And this can all be laid at the feet of Attorney General Eric Holder and his race-baiting, ratcheted-up-charges-of-racism-everywhere, Department of Justice.

Recently, I wrote a post about the result of a study by the DOJ specifically regarding Officer Darren Wilson and Michael Brown, the thug criminal who attacked Officer Wilson and lost his life as a result. Well, of course, Holder, the DOJ, President Obama, and Professional Race Baiters, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, claimed it was all about racism, helped perpetuate the false meme of, “Hands up, Don’t Shoot,” and kicked off weeks of violent riots and protests across the country.

But the finding that Officer Wilson did NOT act in a racist manner, that he WAS defending himself from this violent teenager, wasn’t really the answer the DOJ seemed to want. So, they expanded the scope of their investigation to the Ferguson Police Department and determined that, despite actions already taken by the Ferguson Police Department, that they were, indeed, a bunch of racist yahoos. As a result, six people have now resigned from the Ferguson Police Department, including the Chief of Police.

It also wasn’t the answer some in Ferguson wanted to hear, either. Hence the protest turned violent, and the shooting of police officers (and rounds fired off the night the DOJ Memo came out according to Fox News reports). And now, two police officers are in serious condition, one shot in the shoulder, one in the face, in Ferguson, Missouri.

So if Ferguson is so darn racist, it seems the Democrats have no one to blame but themselves for that. From American Thinker:

[…] Oh, one more thing; Ferguson was and is overwhelmingly Democratic, and the locals who run the city are almost entirely blue staters. The same holds true for County Prosecutor Robert McCulloch, both the former County Executive Charlie Dooley and the newly elected County Exec Steve Stenger. In fact, at least some of the acrimony tied to Ferguson can be traced back to the primary loss by Dooley to Stenger, which led to a bitter split in the local Democratic Party between the white labor Democrats and the blacks. According to The Nation:

“In the contest for county executive, a number of leading African-American political figures rejected the Democratic nominee backed by McCulloch and endorsed the Republican, who attracted substantial African-American support and lost by just 1 percent of the vote. The Republican, veteran state legislator Rick Stream, was no liberal. But he reached out to the African-American community in suburban St. Louis, listened and made commitments. In return, he was backed by a number of African-American Democrats, led by State Senator Maria Chapelle-Nadal, St. Louis County Council Chair Hazel Erby and the Fannie Lou Hamer Democratic Coalition.”

Indeed, there was an attempt by black Democrats to flex their political muscle, and Ferguson was caught in a political maelstrom as a result. The attacks on McCulloch were one example of this; black Democrats hated him for backing Stenger over Dooley. It also explains why so many black politicians marched with the rioters and failed to take steps to calm things.

If racism is a problem in Ferguson, then perhaps we should look at the party in power. […] (Click here to read the rest.)

Uh, yeah. But even more, you may have seen or heard that one of the BIG complaints from the DOJ’s Civil Rights division is the higher percentages by which black people get citations. Wanna guess just why that is? Because they make up TWO-THIRDS OF THE POPULATION. It ain’t rocket science, after all, to figure out that just statistically, it stands to reason that would be the case, as the American Thinker highlights. But yeah, it is all because of how racist those Democrats are, I reckon…

I am so deeply saddened at what has happened to this country in terms of race relations under Barack Obama. I said from the get-go that he was going to set back race relations decades in this country, but I would GLADLY have been wrong about that. Unfortunately, I was not. Between Obama, Holder, Sharpton, Jackson, and Soros-funded leftist groups involved in these protests, it seems that we will have quite the row to hoe to get back to where we were before Obama came on the scene. Thanks for that, Democrats.

And one more thing: Hillary Clinton and the law. Seems Clinton may well have committed a Felony when she left the State Department in terms of this whole email thing. From Townhall:

[…] “State Department regulations also say that departing officials have to make sure that all of their official records are in the files of the Department of State upon departure. That couldn’t be any clearer,” Former DOJ Attorney Shannen Coffin said last night on The Kelly File.

“If she signed it [Separation Statement], as you read the law and the manual itself which refers to the Criminal Code, if she signed that saying she had given them everything back, every federal record she had in her possession when in fact she had thousands of documents and thousands of emails sitting on her home server, did she violate the law? Did she commit a crime?” anchor Megyn Kelly asked Coffin.

“If that’s the case, then there’s no question. The form itself says, ‘Hey, before you sign this understand that you are certifying something that we can prosecute you for.’ Making a false statement in this context, knowingly and willfully, which I can’t imagine anything more knowing an willful than knowing you have 55,000 records sitting in your home, if you do that, it is a felony punishable under 18 U.S.C. 1001,” Coffin said. […] (Click here to read the rest.)

Ruh Roh. No wonder Clinton is trying to change the conversation to the 47 Senators sending a letter, essentially a press announcement, about deals with Iran. Clearly, this email story is not going anywhere, nor should it. Clinton has a lot for which she needs to answer, no doubt about it.

So does Holder and this Administration. In the meantime, my heart and prayers go out to the two police officers targeted in Ferguson and their families. May their healing be swift.

the two cops were not Ferguson police. They were brought in to help ferguson police

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

That is correct – they were not Ferguson police officers. However, it happened in Ferguson, as a result of the protest-turned-violent into targeting police officers. Unfortunately, they happened to be the ones hit, and they were there to support the Ferguson police force.

Without a doubt in my mind, Helen – I think this Administration bears a TON of responsibility for this event, and many like it across the country. It is appalling what they have done…

I just heard on the news that one officer was shot through the shoulder, and the other in the cheek. The bullet is still IN his cheek, so makes me wonder if they would have let him or the other one out already.

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

Oh, for HEAVEN’S sake!! When the hell is he going to stop inflaming and inciting racial division?!? Someone get this man off the stage already!!

Btw, don’t know if anyone was watching/listening to Outnumbered today, but Kirsten Powers was making me NUTS in her response to Andrea Tantaros abt these officers being shot. While it is true officers have been shot on d uty before, they have not been TARGETED in the same way as they are now thanks to the Holder DOJ and Inciter of Violence, Al Sharpton. They have fanned the flames, and painted targets on the backs of police officers. Powers’ attitude was making me nuts (we were listening on our way to our property while our house was being shown this afternoon. Fingers crossed, and prayers, would sure be appreciated!).

In spite of the few times when Kirsten Powers speaks like a rational human being we must always keep in mind that she’s a liberal and therefore certifiable.

I try very hard to “like” here since she seems, outside of her political beliefs, to be a “nice” person. After her performance today that will be difficult to impossible. I cannot brainwash myself into finding her anything but a liberal POS.

President Obama on Ferguson, Mo., shooting: ‘Whoever fired those shots shouldn’t detract from the issue. They’re criminals. They need to be arrested. And then, what we need to do is to make sure that like-minded, good-spirited people on both sides — law enforcement who have a terrifically tough job and people who understandably don’t want to be stopped and harassed just because of their race — that we’re able to work together to try to come up with some good answers’ – @chicagotribune
