As The Clinton Emails Turn, AKA, “Liars, Liars, Pants On Fires” *Open Thread*

I have said many a time, “Truth wills out.” And that is exactly the case as more Hillary Clinton State Department emails surface. Rep. Trey Gowdy is all over the ones released to see what might apply to the Benghazi Terror Attack, and there definitely are some but that isn’t all these emails are revealing, oh, no.

One element of the emails is a bit comical as it depicts a Clinton incapable of operating heavy machinery – a fax machine. One Twiter user noted, “But Sarah Palin’s the dumb one.” No kidding.

That is funny, and laughable, to be sure, but her emails also demonstrate a high level Cabinet member out of the loop, as this BizPacReview article highlights:

[…] One email showed Clinton out of the loop on a Cabinet meeting called by President Obama and unsure if she was able to make it.

The lib sympathizers over at try to explain this apparent inattention to duty away as Hillary just missing a meeting about the “stimulus” package of 2009 — remember, that $700 billion that vanished back in 2009? If nothing else, it shows this administration really does get its news from the media, instead of actually knowing what was going on.

Holy moley. I’m sorry, but the Secretary of State hearing about a Cabinet meeting on the RADIO??? Good grief.

But there is more going on with these emails than Benghazi or the cluelessness of the former Secretary of State. And what that is would be an unlawful use of government time and equipment to engage in political fundraising, a definite no-no. From BizPacReview:

[…] The liberal media is going to ignore it — and the public’s eyes are going to glaze over — at evidence that Hillary’s employees at State were pretty openly using their positions to benefit her future political career in potential violation of federal law.

According to the Daily Mail:

Chief Protocol Officer Capricia Penavic Marshall emailed Democratic political consultant Paul Begala – and another recipient whose name the State Department redacted – to thank him for helping raise a half-million dollars to pay Clinton’s bills from her failed presidential run.

‘We raised $500K from the email contest!!,’ Marshall wrote. ‘You all are amazing – the world adores you! You put a serious hole in hrc debt!’

Federal law forbids government employees from using taxpayer-funded resources, including office computers and other devices, in connection with political fundraising – even if the money collected goes to retire old campaign costs.
Republicans slammed at that disclosure.

“What we learned tonight is troubling,” Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus said in a statement Tuesday. “Administration officials knew more than previously disclosed … and State Department officials were possibly fundraising on government accounts.” […] (Click here to read the rest.)

Uh, yeah – that be illegal, people. And not for nothing, it is pretty silly to put something like that in an email anyway, but thanks for that so we know just who the hell to CHARGE for this unlawful behavior.

But that is not all, and this is where the “liars, Liars” who all have their pants just blazing away comes in. Seems there were a whole BUNCH of Obama Administration people who knew about Hillary Clinton’s private server, lied about it, and now are having to admit they knew. It is absurd what it takes to actually get some of these bozos to just TELL THE TRUTH. And it is stupid, too, since it just makes them look like the liars they are instead of just telling the damn truth the first time already.

By the way, I am not talking about low-level staffers or anything. I am talking about people like David Axelrod aswell as Rahm Emanuel. From The Hill:

[…] Axelrod emailed Clinton on her private address back in 2009 after she broke her elbow. And Emanuel’s assistant sent an email to ask for the address, which was passed up the chain to Clinton before she told her aide to give it to him.

Axelrod tweeted Wednesday morning that while he knew about that private account, he “did not know she had used it exclusively or had her own server.”

It’s not clear whether other administration officials who emailed her knew that she relied exclusively on that email, which was housed on a private server.

He previously said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” last month that he didn’t know specifically about her use of a private email server while at State.

“I might have asked a few questions about that,” Axelrod said when asked what he would have done if he did find out about the server while serving in the White House.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew, who worked in Clinton’s State Department, also emailed her on the private account. He told lawmakers in May that he didn’t recall whether he had done so. […] (Click here to read the rest.)

Bunch of liars. But none more so than the woman herself, Hillary Clinton, as Rep. Gowdy points out in this Daily Caller post:

[…] It was revealed earlier this week that Clinton failed to provide the State Department with 15 Libya-related emails sent between her and her longtime friend, Sidney Blumenthal. That revelation undermined Clinton’s claim that she gave all of her official emails — 55,000 pages worth — to the State Department in December.

But Gowdy says Kerry has stonewalled his investigation by refusing to turn over all the documents he needs.

“They haven’t given us emails for nine of the 10 senior aides that [Clinton] had,” Gowdy said of the State Department. “It’s been over a year, and we don’t have a single scrap of paper from nine of the 10.”

During his interview, Gowdy, a former federal prosecutor, said that recent revelations have “undercut the three main points” Clinton has made in defending her email set-up.

Besides saying in March that she gave all of her work-related emails to the State Department, Clinton has also claimed that Blumenthal’s emails to her were “unsolicited,” and that she used a single device — a Blackberry — to send and receive all personal and work-related emails.

“Every explanation she’s offered so far is demonstrably false,” Gowdy said.[…] (Click here to read the rest.)

If anyone can get to the bottom of this, my money is on Rep. Gowdy. But that he has to work so hard just to get emails that belong to us in the first place, has to weed through all the lies, obfuscations, and secrecy, is absurd. And it is telling.

At least that is what I think. How about you? This is an Open Thread.

I’m glad you still have confidence in Rep. Gowdy, RRRA. I am afraid I’ve lost a lot of confidence in him. [Absolutely nothing is pushed.]

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

Yes, I do still have confidence in Gowdy since the work of the committee continues out of sight as they investigate what happened. And of course, now there are no emails, too, thickening the plot.

I have to say, though, if he and the Committee never come through with anything, then yeah, I’ll be mad…

I posted this down below but thought I would bring it up since it ties in so well with this post. Although I am completely and permanently done with the Clintons I have to say that I never would have thought she was this much of a liar. It is now all too obvious that she’s a liar through and through!

Yes, thank you for moving this here, Marge. It is perfect. Hume really hits the nail on the head.

Don’t know if you saw Steve Doocy interviewing people on the street in NYC. One man said he would be voting for Hillary because she is a Democrat. Another man said he was voting for her but couldn’t name ONE accomplishment of hers.

      • kenoshamarge Says:

Those are the kind of voters who vote for a party no matter how bad the candidate is. I’ve had people try to shame me when I say there are certain candidates I will NOT vote for. They tell me then I am helping the liberal candidate. I tell them that if we have that attitude neither party needs to present quality candidates.

For instance I will never vote for Donald Trump. If my one vote allows Hillary to win then so. be. it. Then the GOP should have given me an option I can accept. If they don’t, they don’t get my vote.

        • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

Right there with you, Marge. And excellent point abt “quality candidates” – well said!

I hope we will finally get the truth. 🙂

  4. helenk3 Says:

this should looked at very closely

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

Holy. CRAP. This is huge, HUGE. This is absolutely stunning, Helen. Thank you for this.
