Oh What A Tangled Web Hillary Has Woven With Her Many And Varied Practices To Deceive *Open Thread*

News Alert: Hillary Clinton is a LIAR. And a big liar at that, I might add. Oh, wait – that isn’t a news alert for most of us. Most of us already knew that and have known it without a doubt since 2008.

Specifically, though, Hillary Clinton is a big, fat liar about her Benghazi emails, her private server, and the substance of her State Department emails.

Yep, Carly Fiorina was right as rain when she stated that Clinton had lied about the Benghazi emails. Despite the apoplectic reaction of people like Chris Matthews at Fiorina’s statement (and the subsequent conflation by Matthews about specific lies and being a liar in general), Fiorina was right.

Indeed, the FBI has now stepped in (I know – no one was more surprised than I was that they are actually pursuing this), and have nabbed Clinton’s emails. From BizPacReview:

Hillary Clinton’s use of private email accounts and a private server is proving to be a far more persistent problem for the Democratic presidential contender than Benghazi.

After repeated denials from Clinton that she did not handle classified information through her private email accounts, it was learned Tuesday that two emails classified as “Top Secret” have been identified, and that Clinton’s attorneys have agreed to turn over to the FBI the private server she used, along with a thumb drive containing thousands of e-mails. […] (Click here to read the rest.)

Ruh roh. This doesn’t look good, does it?

Sharyl Attkisson has more on this, and how the Inspector General alerted Congress to the classified nature of some of the emails:

In an apparent contradiction to repeated assertions by Hillary Clinton, an Inspector General (IG) today told Congress that some of Clinton’s emails contained information that was classified at the time she sent them as secretary of state.

In a letter dated today, IG of the Intelligence Community Charles McCullough told members of Congress and the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) that classification officials have reviewed “two additional emails” among those Clinton sent or received as secretary of state on her private server “and judged that they contained classified State Department information when originated.”

Clinton, the frontrunner presidential candidate for Democrats, has asserted: “I am confident that I never sent nor received any information that was classified at the time it was sent and received.” The statement left open the idea that some information may have been subsequently classified, but that none of it was technically classified at the time. Today’s IG letter appears to rule out that possibility.

The IG provided requesting members of Congress and the DNI with copies of several Clinton emails that contained classified information, in some cases “Top Secret.” Those have not been publicly released. The IG said that two additional emails have been referred to the State Department to determine their current classification before releasing them to Congress. […] (Click here to read the rest.)

Uh, yeah – the lady doth protest too much, it would seem. (The letter from IG McCulloch can be seen HERE.)

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC), the Chair of the Benghazi Committee, made a statement regarding this revelation. From Sharyl Attkisson:

“For months the Select Committee on Benghazi has called on Secretary Clinton to turn over her server to a neutral, detached third party for independent forensic examination. She refused every entreat. Secretary Clinton said she created this unusual email arrangement with herself for ‘convenience.’ It may have been convenient for her, but it has been troubling at multiple levels for the rest of the country. Congress, the media, the public, private litigants and FOIA requestors were denied access to public documents, and recently the Inspectors General for two separate Executive Branch entities expressed concern about the possible exposure of classified material as a direct result of her decision to eschew the email rules applicable to everyone else and create her own.

The IC Inspector General revealed Secretary Clinton’s emails and server contained not just ‘top secret’ classified information, but ‘compartmented’ classified intelligence not releasable to foreigners, which must be noted in the timing of this announcement.

Both the ICIG and the State Department IG were nominated by President Barack Obama and confirmed by the Senate when it was controlled by Democrats. Secretary Clinton’s decision to prioritize her own convenience – and desire for control – over the security of our country’s intelligence should concern all people of good conscience.” […] (Click here to read the rest.)

That sums it up pretty well. Under this President and this Administration, high level officials seem to think they can do pretty much whatever they damn well please. Sadly, so far most of them have been able to do just that regardless of the consequences.

Perhaps that is about to change, though, as Rep. Gowdy affirmed how very serious an issue this is as NewsMax reported:

[…] Rep. Trey Gowdy, chairman of the House committee investigating the Sept. 11, 2012, attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, said the information represented a “serious national security issue,” NBC News reported.

“The revelation that Secretary Clinton exclusively used private email for official public business, and the multitude of issues that emanated from her decision, including this most recent one, demonstrates what can happen when Congress and those equally committed to exposing the truth, doggedly pursue facts and follow them,” he said, according to NBC News. […] (Click here to read the rest.)

It sure will be interesting to see what the FBI discovers on Clinton’s server and thumbdrives. Considering what IG McCulloch revealed in his letter to Congress that there were indeed classified emails, this may well be the comeuppance for the deception and downright lies Hillary Clinton has told repeatedly.

I wonder if Hillary will still be the Democratic nominee if she is on the way to the hoosegow, the big house, going down the river? Then again, maybe she will just add “women in prison to her platform. Hey, it could happen.

But for now, it is about damn time Hillary Clinton was held accountable. Maybe the server will finally help us get to the bottom of Benghazi, too. Wouldn’t that be something? Time will tell.

That’s it for me. What is on your mind today? This is an Open Thread.

Judge Napolitano was on “Fox and Friends” a few minutes ago, and said this was a GRAVE situation for Hillary. He even spelled it out to emphasize just how serious this is…

  2. kenoshamarge Says:

I almost hate to see Hillary go down. That’s because I think that almost every GOP candidate with the exception of Trump can beat her.

I believe that the only reason that the FBI is involved is because the Obamas and their Rasputin, Valerie Jarrett hate the Clintons. First they hate her for running against him in the 2008 primary – how dare she! And second Obama will never forgive Bill Clinton for both saving his bacon and upstaging him at the 2012 Dem convention. JMO.

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

Marge, I was thinking the same thing – this could not have happened without Obama and ValJar giving a nod of the head to the FBI to go after Clinton. I have ZERO doubt that there is bad blood between the two. Obama is so thin-skinned, such a petulant child, that he resents the hell out of them for the reasons you mentioned and more.

And yes, it does make me wonder who they will select, but between Biden and Sanders, I would HOPE the Reps could still win, but who knows these days, huh?

    • kenoshamarge Says:

I don’t believe Trump could beat anyone and I believe a Bush- Clinton race would be close but with her edging him out. There is still a bad taste in the mouths of many against anyone named Bush because of the wars.

I also think a lot of people would just stay home rather than vote for either “dynasty” candidates. I wouldn’t stay home, local votes count too, but I would leave the top blank.

      • foxyladi14 Says:

I might write in Trey Gowdy!!! 😆

        • kenoshamarge Says:

Good idea – I would definitely consider that or writing in my own Governor Walker who I think has little chance but IMO would make a better President than either of the dynasty candidates.

          • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

I would love to have Gowdy as President, but I think we need him to restore the DOJ to its real function.

And Walker would be great. He is just the kind of steady, smart, solid person we need in the White House to help us get on track…

    • mcnorman Says:

I do believe that it STILL sticks in their craw that Bill said the poser would have been serving them water not too long ago.

      • mcnorman Says:

It’s always personal with the thin skinned.

      • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

Oh, right – the water comment! I bet that does stick in his craw. And no doubt Obama’s thin skin tallies up every little slight, perceived or real…

        • kenoshamarge Says:

I think the narcissist has never forgiven Bill Clinton for coming to his rescue in 2012. Thin-skinned egoist that he is that must have stung. And when Bubba almost dismissed him and went on talking I suspect a hatred was born that has never died.

And now Val-Jar, the Obama’s own Rasputin, is doing his dirty work for him. But not without his full support and blessing.

  4. foxyladi14 Says:

I am so disappointed and hate to see Hillary go down too.
I worked so hard and contributed every spare dollar o her in 08.
How could I have been so wrong? 😦

    • kenoshamarge Says:

You weren’t the only one that was wrong. Millions of us were fooled. It just took a long time for all the truth to come out about her and in the meantime she’s done more and evidently worse. Worse if it threatened the security of the country just so she could keep her shenanigans private.

And always remember in the primary it was her or Obama so it isn’t as if we had great choices.

      • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

You definitely weren’t the only one taken in by Hillary, Foxy. Heck, it was my support of Hillary that got me blogging in the first place. Like you, I gave a lot of time and money to support her on,y to have her reveal her true colors when she capitulated to all of Obama and the DNC’s demands. Ugh.

And now, we are seeing that the claims many made abt her before, the ones we argued against and deplored are truer than we wanted to admit. Ugh…

    • mcnorman Says:

Know that you aren’t alone. I got a call at the office asking for money the other day. I couldn’t even be polite so I just said, no hable ingles and hung up. I am beyond disgusted.

  5. kenoshamarge Says:

I thought that the “Center for Medical Progress” was releasing these videos in a way as to make each one worse that the last. This puts the practices past immoral to illegal. And that makes a big difference.

Planned Parenthood Whistleblower: Yes, They Harvest Baby Parts And I Was Forced to Do It

O’Donnell is seen on video describing how Planned Parenthood does not inform patients obtaining abortions that their fetus will be used and sold for parts. Not informing the patient about this practice is a federal crime.

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

Marge, I literally just finished reading an article abt this at Daily Caller. It made/makes me ill. Seriously ill.

And I saw that Fiorina called out Trump for his lack of spine over Planned Parenthood. It rally calls into question the claim that people like him because he won’t back down. BS. If ever there was an issue in which NOT to back down, it is PPF.

Just nauseating. The whole thing just makes me sick…

  6. kenoshamarge Says:

And what a time for the big mouthed Trump to be waffling about Planned Parenthood. Will this change the minds of any of his mindless supporters?

Trump: I May Not Defund Planned Parenthood

Donald Trump suggested today that he wouldn’t completely defund Planned Parenthood, but instead would “look at the good aspects” of the organization and may continue to fund those. In other words, he would likely support the status quo.

    • mcnorman Says:

Someone should fork him and ask what if it were your grandchild being sold in parts?

      • kenoshamarge Says:

He should also be forced to say what exactly Planned Parenthood does for women. Someone is always spouting about mammograms but the truth is they don’t have one mammogram machine in any of their offices. What they offer is manual manipulation much as women do in their “self-exam” at home.

It’s way past time the lie about PP being about anything except abortion is exposed for the b.s. that it is.

      • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

Absolutely Trump could start by reading the Daily Signal piece, or even watching some of the videos that are out now.

I have to say, there does seem to be some credence to the claim that he is more Dem than Rep., and this is just one more issue to tilt the scale. Astounds me – absolutely astounds me – that the same people who were screaming abt things Obama said, abt his associates, that the MSM didn’t vet him, are now blithely going along with whatever Trump says.

        • mcnorman Says:

I don’t know that they will blindly follow him, atleast I hope and pray that they will use their brains. I do think that the anger is so deep now that him spewing makes them feel heard.

          • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

I hope you are right, but from what I have been seeing from some folks, no matter WHAT is exposed abt Trump, they defend him to the end, just like Obots did/do. Disconcerting, that!

You have a point abt him making some people feel heard.

          • mcnorman Says:

I know what you mean. My elderly friends 80+ all tell me that they are beyond fed up. They want someone to say outloud without holding back what they have thought for a long time. It’s as if they aren’t thinking just like the Koolaid drinkers.

    How Pro-Choice Women Undermine Feminism

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

Yes, a very interesting piece indeed, Marge – thank you for this. I continue to be amazed and sickened at the manner by which people – WOMEN – disregard these horrendous videos…

  9. helenk3 Says:

as someone who has talked to people from all areas of the country and listened to all accents I loved this. When I went to California I was told I had a Philadelphia accent. my reply was ” I did not have an accent until I came here.

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

LOVE It! And very funny quip, Helen! I just had to shake my head when I lived in Boston and they made fun of my accent. Uh, yeah.

      Righteous rant – thank you!

  10. Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

I am absolutely sickened by the EPA accident that is affecting so many states in the West. The impact on people, wildlife, and livestock is enormous. And of course, we will be footing the bill for the cleanup.

Check out how much we have already paid the people who caused this disaster: http://dailycaller.com/2015/08/12/epa-contractor-behind-co-mine-spill-got-381-million-from-taxpayer/

  11. kenoshamarge Says:

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

I bet that is what she has been trying to do metaphorically if not literally.

      What a piece of work.

      • kenoshamarge Says:

And now, to no one’s surprise, the server is blank. Perhaps she thinks that not having proof she did anything wrong is the same as exonerating her. Absolutely not. Now people are pretty much free to speculate all the want to since she has no way to refute them except to say, “trust me”. Since very few do trust her that is not a good thing.

I just wish we could form a separate and special state for all the mindless folks that follow some damn politician or candidate not matter how corrupt, incompetent or dishonest they may be. Take the Clintonistas, the Obamacrats and the Trumpbots and isolate them from the normal, decent folks lest the infection spread.

        • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

And there you have it. Poof! All gone! See? I did NOTHING wrong! Bwahahahaahahaha.

Ahem. That is the mindset, isn’t it?

Oh, how I WISH we could do that, Marge! Wouldn’t that be great?

  12. kenoshamarge Says:

And I am confused about why someone would think: “I’m really angry so I’m going to support a loud-mouthed boor.” What the hell does that get them? Aren’t they tired of thin-skinned, narcissists that can deliver plenty of insults and punches but can’t take one?

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

I don’t get it. It is exactly like all the people who screamed and yelled abt how unqualified Dubya was voting for someone who has next to NO qualifications comparatively speaking. I mean, looking back at Dubya now, he was leaps and BOUNDS above Obama in terms of experience from being Governor to owning companies to being in the National Guard, yet all those same people elected Obama. Twice.
