The ISIS Trojan Horse – Syrian Refugees *Open Thread*

by

Oh, boy – just as many of us predicted, and as ISIS claimed, there are indeed ISIS terrorists coming in with Syrian refugees. That’s just jake. And the Democrats want to let in even MORE here. That simply defies logic, if you ask me.

I do not understand why facts like the don’t seem to matter, but apparently they don’t to some people. It is about that very reality the Homeland Security Chairman of the House Committee, Michael McCaul, had this to say over the weekend, as The Hill reported:

““I believe [it is] the result of a failed foreign policy in Syria with the inability to remove Assad from power and also the rise of ISIS. That’s why these refugees are fleeing.

“And until we address the root cause of the problem there, we are going to continue to have a refugee crisis globally,” he added.

McCaul said he will “take ISIS at its word” after the terror group said it would use the refugee crisis to infiltrate the west.

“That concerns me.”

McCaul said there is not enough intelligence to properly vet Syrian refugees.

“If I could be assured these people could be vetted properly I would be supportive,” he said.

“The problem is the FBI testified before my committee, I’ve had Homeland Security officials and the intelligence community who all say to me that we don’t have the systems in place on the ground in Syria to properly vet these individuals. We don’t know who they are.”

“We are a compassionate nation. We have to deal with this crisis,” he said. “But, you know, this is — could be a very reckless and dangerous policy.” […] (Click here to read the rest.)

Uh, yeah – I am concerned, too, for precisely that reason: we cannot properly vet these people before allowing them into the country.

We ARE a “compassionate nation,” but it doesn’t mean we have to be a FOOLISH nation. Especially when you consider what is already happening in Europe, as this article highlights (h/t Facebook friend):

An ISIS terrorist posing as an “asylum seeker” has been arrested by German police in a “refugee” center in Stuttgart, and German customs officers have seized boxes containing 10,000 Syrian passports being smuggled into Europe — possibly to be utilized by ISIS cell members to blend into German society.

The arrest follows a Sunday Express report on September 10, in which a Syrian ISIS operative claimed that more than 4,000 covert ISIS gunmen have already been smuggled into Western nations – “hidden among innocent refugees”.

[…]

Details on the arrest:

According to a report carried by RTL’s German language service, the terrorist is a 21-year-old Moroccan using a “false identity” who had registered as an asylum seeker in the district of Ludwigsburg. He was identified after police linked him to a European arrest warrant issued by the Spanish authorities. He is accused of recruiting fighters for ISIS, where he acted as a contact person for fighters who wanted to travel to Syria or Iraq.

This first confirmed arrest of a bogus “asylum seeker” came simultaneously with the admission by a German finance ministry spokesman that “boxes” of fake Syrian passports, destined for sale and distribution to the hordes of nonwhite invaders seeking to settle in Europe as bogus “war refugees,” had been seized.

And these are the people being let into Europe willy-nilly. Well, we don’t really KNOW who these people are since they are buying up fake Syrian passports left and right:

That news, carried in a report by the German Tagespiegel newspaper, also revealed that 10,000 fake Syrian passports were seized by German customs agents working with police in Bulgaria, on their way to Germany.

The finance ministry official said both genuine and forged passports were in the packets intercepted in the post. Possession of these passports is a vital part of claiming “asylum” as “war refugees.”

The Tagespiegel also revealed that the fake Syrian passports are being sold for about $1,500 each—and the fact that many of the “refugees” can afford to buy multiple passports is yet another indication of the bogus nature of their claims to be “asylum seekers.”

Significantly, the Tagespiegel article continued, “It is not only Syrians who are interested in Syrian passports. Refugees from Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan want to become Syrian in order to secure their recognition as asylum seekers in Western Europe. According to press reports, nine out of ten refugees who came from Macedonia to Serbia claimed they were Syrians.” […] (Click here to read the rest.)

To say this is disconcerting is putting it mildly, indeed. We do not know who these people are who are coming into Europe with the ability to buy up forged passports. They could be ANYONE, and they most definitely could be Islamist terrorists.

It seems ISIS has found its Trojan horse. Just play on the sympathies and heartstrings of good people who hate to see others suffer. Slip in some terrorists along with the legitimate refugees, and VOILA! You have managed to insert yourself into the enemy’s home, all while being clothed, fed, and housed. And THAT is what happens when people have kneejerk reactions. Once they are in, it will be damn hard to get them out. Who knows what havoc they might reap while in those countries, in OUR country?

There was an update from the article above on a major change as a result of this stream of refugees-heaven-only-knows-who-they-are. That is this, Germany has now decided that it must reinstate its control of its borders. You don’t say. What a novel idea, huh?

The ISIS horse is at the gate – are we going to be smart and actually vet these people before admitting them to our shores, or are we going to throw open wide the gates and let in the very people who have threatened our existence?

I sure hope it is the former…

It seems Dr. Carson is also concerned abt the vetting, or lack thereof, for refugees from that neck of the woods pouring into the USA: http://www.ijreview.com/2015/09/419340-wait-hear-ben-carson-worried-welcoming-syrian-refugees-us

IJReview.com had a post abt one of the first women combat pilots, Major Penney, who was tasked with bringing down United Flight 93. In essence, since her jet, and that of her commanding officer, were not armed, she and her commander would be “kamikaze” pilots:

I’ve got an idea, if the politicians, especially the liberal politicians want to allow “refugees” into our country then the “refugees” should only be put in liberal communities. Preferably next door to a liberal politician. Don’t put them out here with us, we don’t want them. We don’t trust them because you aren’t competent to “vet” them.

YES! I think that is BRILLIANT! Put them in San Francisco, LA, Denver, Austin, Minneapolis, Boston, and DC – all next to some elected official who insisted we bring them here. Great idea, Marge!

The Obnoxious and Important Questions I Would Ask At The GOP Debate

    By Kurt Schlichter

CNN’s Republican debate on September 16th will be conducted with dignity and gravitas by questioners like Hugh Hewitt and Jake Tapper, who will treat the candidates with a level of respect and courtesy that many of them just don’t deserve. They have to. I don’t.

On behalf of all infuriated conservatives, I demand the right to interrogate the candidates myself. I get to ask a question and a follow-up, and here are the rules. First, answer the damn question. It insults me when you think I’ll somehow forget what I asked, so bewitching is your oratory. Second, answer, then stop talking. If you use more words than the Gettysburg Address (272) you are so, so very wrong. Third, no clichés. If you use the phrase “for the children,” I get to slap you.

I like Kurt Schlichter but he’s way to the right of me and I often feel he’s a little “over-the-top”. Not this time. Considering the job these clowns are auditioning for I feel almost any question should be allowed. But given the number of people either outraged or heading for the fainting couch because Megyn Kelly had the audacity to ask Trump about things HE had said in the past I expect a milquetoast “debate”.

Which by the way is not a debate. Who are they debating? Mostly not each other. Call it an audition and it might come close to the truth. And from what I hear, auditions can be brutal. Nope can’t have that.

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

That is precisely what Obama did – he would ramble on and on and on and on, never answering the question. His supporters – the media – pronounced him BRILLIANT because of it. No, EVASIVE is the right word.

And yes, if these candidates cannot answer a question concisely, I would suggest perhaps they aren’t all that knowledgeable.

      Thanks for this, Marge!

A friend had this article at Facebook of ISIS among the refugees in Germany: http://news360.com/article/311820821

And what, pray tell, were these refugees doing to the country that took them in? Fighting the police, of course…

    • kenoshamarge Says:

Isn’t it odd how these “refugees” demand things? As if they are entitled?

      • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

It is ASTONISHING. Just like illegal aliens coming here and making demands as if they are entitled to them. Just shocking that anyone would give into them. They should be GRATEFUL they were taken in in the first place, not making demands of anyone. Wow.

        Great cartoon!

Did you see that the man who makes $60 MILLION A YEAR is going off on CEOs’ salaries?? Yes, Trump is lambasting the salaries of CEOs, and his minions continue to support him: GOP frontrunner Donald Trump calls high CEO salaries a “total and complete joke.” Trump says that although high pay for corporate board members bugs him, there’s little he can do to change America’s free enterprise system. (http://www.cbsnews.com/videos/donald-trump-high-ceo-salaries-are-a-total-and-complete-joke/)

Meanwhile, a Trump person I know was going off on Fiorina for being a HYPOCRITE because she made a snide comment abt Barbara Boxer’s hair a while back. But this – this statement from a man who claims to be a Republican but sounds much more like Elizabeth Warren, is apparently A-Okay. (When I put this up at a private group which has been overrun with Trump supporters, I was told the problem is that I just don’t like him. No, I don’t. I don’t like hypocrites EITHER, and this is FAR more hypocritical than Carly Fiorina making an off the cuff remark abt Boxer’s hair. But they refuse to see it – just like Obama people.)
