I am still recovering from the effects of my procedure yesterday, so this will be brief. But after hearing this news, I just have to mention this.
And that would be President Obama’s decision to skip out on Justice Antonin Scalia’s funeral on Saturday. I am NOT kidding. The President of the United Statesof America is skipping out on the funeral of a Supreme Court Justice who sat on the bench for decades. DECADES!!
The president and first lady will instead pay their respects on Friday while Scalia lays in repose at the high court.
‘I can tell you that Vice President Biden and Dr. Jill Biden will attend Justice Scalia’s funeral at the Basilica on Saturday,’ White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said.
It was not immediately clear why the president won’t go to the formal funeral.
‘I don’t have a sense of what the president’s plans are for Saturday,’ Earnest said after a reporter suggested it would be bad form for him to go golfing, a favorite weekend activity of Obama’s. […] (Click here to read the rest.)
Are you kidding me with this?? Josh Earnest cannot say if the President will be out GOLFING instead?? Frankly, I don’t give a damn WHAT is on his schedule. Schedules change all the time as current events and issues arise. The death of a long-serving Supreme Court Justice most certainly qualifies for a change in plans.
Honestly, it was bad enough that Obama appeared like this when he made his first remarks about Justice Scalia. From the Conservative Tribune:
When Obama finally did get around to addressing the nation. he looked about as un-presidential as he ever has. Normally, presidents are expected to be dressed formally with a suit and tie when addressing the nation.
Obama apparently didn’t feel that Scalia deserved this level of respect and gave his statement without a tie on, looking like someone who had been too busy to take the time to look presentable.
This isn’t the first time Obama has done this either. When James Foley was beheaded by Islamic State militants, Obama again had to interrupt his oh-so-important game of golf to give a news conference with no tie on.

So, so classless, lacking in decorum, and just decent manners, this man. WOW.
I think Greta Van Susteren sums it all up perfectly in her comments below:
I, too, would love to know just what in the hell the President of the United States thinks is more important than attending Justice Scalia’s funeral. Can’t wait to hear what BS excuse his spokesweasel offers next…
What do you think? Feel free to discuss this or anything else on your minds, like my governor, Nikki Haley, endorsing Rubio, or comments from the Townhall on CNN last night (not Trump’s petulant insistence on having his OWN at the same time even though he is going to be on CNN tonight). Whatever is hitting you today, let’s hear it!
