Joke: What’s the difference between and Obot and a Trumpanzee? No punch line because there isn’t one.

If we all climbed into the Wayback Machine we would see that just 8 years ago some of the, many of the, same things were stirring in the country. Those of us that used to be Democrats jumped ship when we couldn’t stand the corruption of our party. Some jumped into the other corrupt party and some of us tried to find some honesty and decency by becoming Independents. A foolish concept because in the end we vote for one of the corrupt parties or waste our vote on a 3rd party which hasn’t a chance.

 

The nastiness of the Clinton/Obama primary is a bone still sticking in some of our throats. We haven’t forgotten and we haven’t forgiven the treachery. And we still cannot understand the voters that voted for Obama not just once but twice.

We, the Democrats that would not support Obama, were first told we had to vote for him or those evil Republicans would win. Then we were told they didn’t need us anyway. And they didn’t. He won and the country lost.

Enough little lost sheep went back to the fold and Obama played his politics of division through two terms. But the Democrats were wounded and the party shrunk some and those that stayed trusted less.

So when Hillary came along for the second time, now carrying a lot more baggage, the Dems were not pleased. Thus the Bernie Sanders phenomena.

Bernie must know that he hasn’t a chance because the Dems, while screaming about voter I.D. disenfranchising the voters have their very own way of disenfranchising the voters, they’re called the Super Delegates.

Once again Democrats have a very good look at the corruption of their party. Once again most of them will vote Democrat anyway. Probably at lot more will do that if Trump is the alternative. Especially women. The same women who will forgive Bill his “bimbo eruptions” may not forgive Trump his “bimbo language”.

So along comes a bombastic, narcissistic, lying, divisive GOP candidate from the right and the dimwitted Republicans fall in love. Enter Trump with all his ignorance and inexperience and the voters go wild. Nothing he says can dissuade them from their besotted support. It’s Obot the election Part Two. Except this time the Republican Party, in hits corruption isn’t happy with the people’s choice and is determined to stop him and insert that own little establishment choice. It hasn’t worked. It not only hasn’t worked it’s blown up in their faces.

I confess there was a time when I thought that in the end the American People would unleash their power and would not vote for someone not fit to represent us as a people and not fit to represent our country. I thought that the majority would not let the media or the establishment select our candidate. Boy did I get that wrong!

Once again angry, ignorant, uninformed/misinformed people stalk us to convince us that their anointed one will save us all. Once again they are wrong and foolish and nasty.

Many think to guilt us or bully us or insult us back into the Republican fold with their boorish hero at the helm. Once again some will return meekly to the fold. Just like the Dems did. And once again some, many will not.

Trumpanzees believe that we will hold our nose and vote for their vulgar and ignorant choice. They believe that we loathe the Hillary liar and phony more than we loathe the Trump liar and phony. Some do. Many do not.

What they refuse to see is that many of us think he’s just as bad as the lying critter he will oppose if he’s the nominee. And how does a decent person choose between Lucifer and Beelzebub? They don’t. Some will just stay home, some will leave the top of the ticket blank and make their down ticket choices and some will vote 3rd party.

And where that will lead is anyone’s guess at this point in time. President Female liar and cheat? President Vulgarian liar and cheat? From Obots to Trumpanzees in 8 years. Who would ever have thunk it?
