Playing Politics **Open Thread**

One of the most hypocritical bits of bilge that issues from Obama’s mouth is when he accuses someone of “playing politics”. This from the guy who plays politics more than any president has ever done. I thought he was the most narcissistic, dishonest, ignorant, whiny politician ever – and then along came Donald Trump. Deja Vu all over again.

The same type of fetid fools that knelt in admiration at Obama’s feet now kneel at Trump’s. Who could have ever guessed that the right had so many people willing to not only support, but rabidly support, a charlatan? Remember the good old days when we on the right could feel superior to the left because we didn’t drool over some politician?  Who would have guessed that so many on the right would actually slobber over a vulgar billionaire boor with the morals of an alley cat?

Looks like Vincent from the Princess Bride was on target – it truly is inconceivable!

   And yet here we are.

One of the things that the playing of politics does is make the governmental departments that are in place to run the country and/or to protect the citizens of the country a part of the political game and thus those departments become as corrupt as the politicians they serve. And the citizenry is left undefended.

Number one on my list of departments that I don’t want any politician screwing around with is the DOJ. Understand the Department of Justice has in the past and will continue in the future to tilt a little one way or another depending what party controls the White House. No Republican President will make a rabid liberal his Attorney General any more than a Liberal President would want a staunch conservative to serve under him. That’s business as usual. Where it goes horribly wrong is when the tilt becomes a lean and when that lean tips over into full blown political bias. Then there is no justice. Then our laws mean nothing.

This morning I read about the corruption at the DOJ. I was, sadly, not surprised. The DOJ has been since 2008 a wholly owned subsidiary of the Obama Administration. First under the execrable leadership of Eric Canter and now under the equally execrable leadership of Loretta Lynch. From PJ Media:

Only if this story can no longer be ignored will the wretched Main Stream Media report on it. And then one can expect it to be glossed over and given little time or light of day. The men and women in the media who allow their own bias free rein in what they do, or choose to not report are as corrupt as the politicians they refuse to hold accountable.

It is so easy for corruption to spread unchecked when the watchdogs are lap dogs. They think they simply follow their ideology. What they do is commit treason against the people of the United States that depend on them to do what the citizen cannot do for him/herself. Failure is one thing, refusing to do the job is quite another. These traitors include most of the top names in the news business. and I do mean business – big business – big salaries for those that play the game the right way. Access to those in power and importance and all the news folks are suddenly wealthy insiders that have no interest whatsoever in doing any due diligence.

There was a time when we could count on some of the media to actually report on the shenanigans of politicians. Now the media is for the most part an arm of the Democrat Party. And many of them an arm of the most liberal part of the Democrat Party. Want a free press? Look elsewhere. It no longer exists here. They’re choosing their new clothes for their next invite to the White House.

ISIS rapes, pillages and murders and our crack reporters are worrying about the ability of men to pee in the ladies room. That should be political satire. Sadly it is not.

A person that I used to think of as a friend told me one day not to long ago that my problem was that I was too “old school”. That because I thought, and think, that name-calling and mud-slinging is not the way to elect a president. My belief that if someone has a history of lies and deceit, of doing things that are against all I believe they shouldn’t hold the highest office in our country is out of date and out of step.

This person thinks Obama is a disgrace to the office of POTUS and yet makes excuse after excuse for Trump while repeating lies about Ted Cruz. Needless to say that person is no longer a friend. I don’t want dishonesty in the White House and while I can’t prevent that I can certainly prevent it from being across my kitchen table and drinking my damn coffee.
