Sunday morning we all awoke to the news of the horrific terrorist attack on a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida. And, as expected, the masses of mindless ignorant “celebrities” immediately jumped on the anti-gun anti-NRA bandwagon in support of the murdered.
I’ve no doubt that many of these same co-called celebrities also supported a ban on North Carolina for passing a law that says people should use the restroom that matches their biological sex. Musicians such as Maroon 5, Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, and Bryan Adams; groups such as Cirque du Soleil; corporations such as PayPal and Deutsche Bank all canceled plans to perform, work, and expand in NC over what they perceive to be a bias against the LGBT community. Which is bullcrap because the law has nothing to do with sexual orientation. Another sign of their complete and utter ignorance.
Yet these same artists and businesses have NO problem working and performing in places like Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Malaysia, Qatar…all countries where homosexuality is against the law. So forgive me if I find their outrage over the terrorist attack in Orlando to be pathetically self-serving.
My heart breaks for those who lost their lives, those who were injured, and all their loved ones whose lives will forever be tragically altered. They were targeted solely because they were gay and that is unquestionably unforgivable.
But let’s be clear. This was not a mass murder and had nothing to do with guns. This was a terrorist attack by a man who had been investigated by the FBI twice in the past and was on their radar as a possible ISIS sympathizer. NBC News reported that the terrorist called 911 right before the massacre and pledged his allegiance to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. According to Fox News, he yelled, “Allah Akbar!” during the attack.
So to all those anti-gun, anti-NRA, anti-2nd Amendment hypocritical vermin, I’d like to say to you: STFU. If you gave a damn at all, you’d be fighting against this administration’s leniency toward and support of terrorist groups in this country (CAIR, for one) and their support of terrorist countries (Iran, Gaza). You’d quit the absurdity of decrying bathroom laws and begin speaking out against TRUE violence against the LGBT communities. You’d quit putting your ignorance on display for all the world to see.
Rant over. For now.
