Democrat Voters – Bought and Paid For *Open Thread*

Have Democrats always been for sale? I’m not talking about politicians because we all know that most politicians are for sale no matter what letter they put behind their name.  Even those who go to Washington to do good, end up do very well; for themselves. It’s an old saying but especially true of the elected crooks we send to represent us.

Maybe our technology and information system has evolved to the point where if we aren’t aware that we are ruled by crooks it’s because we don’t want to know. And in many cases simply don’t care so long as we get our freebies.

A once proud and strong nation now has 109,631,000 citizens that lived in households that received benefits from one or more federally funded “means-tested programs” — also known as welfare — as of the fourth quarter of 2012. I can’t find newer statistic but I suspect the number hasn’t gone down. That’s 35% of our population. Are they are really unable to take care of themselves and their families? Are they all unable to make it without government subsidizing every aspect of their lives? I doubt it’s as much an inability as a disinclination.

Democrats have worked hard to make as many people as possible dependent. They’ve decimated the black community until many know no other way of life. Many believe they are somehow entitled to be taken care of from cradle to grave by the government. This was not an accident. What is surprising to me is the number of people who took the carrot dangled in front of them. Pride in achievement seems to be a thing of the past.

Many of those that continue to work and supply the funds that the Dems use to bribe people to vote for them begin to wonder why they should continue to strive. Some will simply because they have pride in themselves. Other will, in disgust, climb on the gravy train. It’s hard to see why you shouldn’t when you feel like a sucker for supporting people who don’t deserve or need help but have been told they do.

Getting up and going to work isn’t always a good experience. Especially as many jobs are repetitive and boring. So not going to work if the government will support you may seem like a good idea to people that lack both initiative and pride in themselves. Then we should not be surprised that what become acceptable becomes a right.

I hate to be a killjoy but no one has a right to sit on their butt and let someone else support them. Not until Democrats learned that this is a large portion of the population that is for sale. Feckless folks that are perfectly willing to walk with eyes open into a trap. A trap that condemns them to being bottom feeders for their lifetime. A trap that leaves them envious of those who have worked and achieved more. A trap that usually condemn their children to the same place in society. The bottom of the ladder.

Of course the Dems then whisper in the willing ears of those who now see no way out and up that doesn’t include hard work the idea that it’s the fault of those who are rich that they are poor. An idea that’s ridiculous when thought is applied to it but is swallowed by angry, greedy people who refuse to take responsibility for their own actions. The Dems are very good salespeople at selling victimhood.

I was a Democrat for many years. I never even thought of not working for a living. Nor did any of the people that I knew who were also Democrats. We looked down on those who lived on welfare. Not on those who needed a helping hand for a time but those that made it a way of life. I haven’t changed – but the Democrat Party has.

Now food stamp cards must look like other debit cards lest the holder feel uncomfortable using it in front of others. Why is that? You should feel uncomfortable letting someone else support you if you can support yourself.

Then of course there is the “I can’t find a job” excuse. My friend has a 26 year old son who has been milking that excuse for years. He lives, rent free, with them. His idea of looking for work is to email resumes. Pound the pavement? Take something out of his area of experience or expertiece? Perish the thought. Not when Mom and Pop and the government provide him with all he needs including cable which is where he mostly lives. Social Media has a lot to answer for IMO.

I don’t know what the solution to this problem is. We are adding illegals to the gravy train and that will put more stress on those that work. The rich will leave or put their money where the government can’t get at it. And they can’t carry the entire burden anyway.

So I expect that sooner rather than later those that work will refuse to support those that don’t. How that will happen I don’t know. Maybe they’ll all quit working and go on government assistance themselves. We’re near the tipping point where more don’t work than do and once we get beyond that something will have to give.

Pity the poor Democrats that try to explain to their constituents that they can’t give them any more. They will of course blame the Republicans. And the public being as ignorant, for the most part, as they are will believe it. So what happens when only Democrats hold office and no one works? Should be very interesting don’t you think?

And just in time to prove that Republicans are just as careless with our money as Democrats:

McConnell Rams Through Backroom Bailout of Puerto Rico

This bill is a backroom deal by the elites in Washington, who forced it through the Senate with no opportunity to amend or fix the problems in it. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was successful in steamrolling conservatives like Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) on a 68-32 cloture vote with 60 votes needed to end debate. McConnell has used an obscure parliamentary tactic to stop all amendments in an effort to get this bill passed without any opportunity to change or modify its provisions.

What a perfect response! I love it! I especially liked this part:

Let’s make a deal with Clinton and her black grievance industry pals. We’ll move on from something that happened four years ago, on the anniversary of 9/11, when you get over blaming 21st-century whites for something that began in the 1500s and ended 151 years ago.

The cesspool that Baltimore has become guarantees that it will soon be like Detroit – a place to run from. And when the taxpayers are gone who will fund the crooked politicians and the parasites?

Isn’t it amazing? Blacks are aborting their next generation.

    • kenoshamarge Says:

If they came to my house it must have been when I was at St. Vincent De Paul looking for a used end table.

I do too. Lou and I go every Wednesday and take advantage of special discounts on that day. Usually it’s on furniture. I bought a really nice wing chair there last year, came home a googled the brand and found I had a $1200.00 chair. I paid $35.00! I love it and sit in it every night to watch television.

Lou later found himself a great recliner. Both were like brand new and of far better quality that we could afford if we bought new.

Plus we’re both bargain hunters and 1/2 the fun is in the hunt!

I know what I think too. It’s just the kind of a thing a creepy, dirty old man would do. The revelations just keep piling up that we were right all along. And the Trump cult was wrong and still are.

Bill Clinton Up to No Good Visiting Attorney General Loretta Lynch

The tarmac summit sent a signal. It is a signal to all of the hardworking FBI agents who have the goods on Hillary.

The attorney general has made it clear what team she is on. The attorney general isn’t on the side of justice. She’s on the Democratic Party team.

Until I read Crisis of Character, I never thought about what Bill’s Monica mess and impeachment effected the everyday white house worker. Not the staffers, they agreed with Clinton that they were special but the guards and security people the work there no matter who is president

    • kenoshamarge Says:

I would love to read it now but I just can’t. Until it comes out in paperback my hands just can’t hold it. Too heavy. Dang it, it sounds like something I really would like to read too. Maybe I will rethink a Kindle after all.

The treason of a government that is more concerned with refugees than their duty to protect the citizens of the country is astonishing.

These refugees may well contain some terrorists – it would be astounding if they did not.

But the 2nd generation of refugees from the ME are usually the ones who turn on the country they were born in or raised in. The American Dream isn’t what they thought it would be or it hasn’t worked for them or whatever excuse they need to find to take out their miserable existence by murdering innocent people. Their hatred is bred in the bone.

The Obama Administration is guaranteeing terrorism attacks from these barbarians for generations to come. If that isn’t treason I don’t know what is.

Atty Gen. Lynch Facing Calls to Recuse Herself From Email Investigation After Meeting With Bill Clinton in Phoenix

News of a private meeting between U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former president Bill Clinton on the tarmac of the Phoenix Airport has prompted renewed calls from political pundits and legal eagles for the AG to recuse herself from the Clinton email investigation.

If Loretta Lynch doesn’t know that at the very least this meeting was inappropriate then she isn’t qualified to be Attorney General.

Speculation is that Billy Boy promised her that if she backed off on Hillary, which she already had done somewhat, Hillary would nominate her for SCOTUS.

This POS isn’t qualified to be an ambulance chaser in some 1 horse town. Put her on SCOTUS with Ginsberg, Sotomayor and Kagan and we all might as well learn to adapt to socialism.

Since when is that the FBI’s job?

    • kenoshamarge Says:

Since now. The politicians make the rules and the FBI does as it’s told like good little boys and girls. After all the DOJ is the boss of those in the FBI and who thinks for one minute that Lynch’s DOJ is about justice? Politics all the way baby.
