Democrat Demolition Derby Day 2 *Open Thread*

Now that is day two of the Democrat Convention we can talk about what happened last night on Day One. Confusing isn’t it?

After the chaos of day one what possible entertainment can the Democrats present for day two? We are routinely informed by the MSM that the Democrats are united and the Republicans are not.  Because we would believe them instead of our lying eyes.

Yesterday I listened to an incredibly adolescent couple of hours of the Dana Loesh radio program and she called the DNC Convention a poonami. Just to show I can be adolescent too I would more accurately call it a boonami. The Bernie boobirds were certainly in Philly last night.

Aww and it looks like Debbie had her hair done for the event she cannot chair. Just what she needed – more curls.  Not to worry about poor little Debbie Do Wrong, she had a soft landing by scoring a position with the Clinton Campaign. Guess they’ll only use her behind the scenes since the very sight of her sets off the Boobirds.  Still she did get kicked off the Convention and that must have hurt a bit. Not enough but ya gotta take what ya can get.

Everyone got booed a little. Even favorite Michelle Obama was booed. Although her speech was probably the highlight and high tide of the evening. The majority of the wrath was saved for others.

Comedienne Sarah Silverman came in for her share of boos and then added insult to injury by telling the Boobirds that they were being ridiculous for refusing to get behind Hillary. Because calling an already angry crowd that they are being ridiculous will calm them right down. Not.

I would find it insulting enough that a very unfunny foul mouthed skank like Silverman lectured me at all – but heretofore the left has liked her unfunny filth. Last night – not very much.

Reportedly she and Al Franken did a very unfunny comic routine. Happily I missed that. Most of the media seems to think anyone that missed it was lucky.

The corrupt Republicans showed the public how willing they were to crush their own base. Seems the left didn’t want to miss out on showing how willing they were to do the same.

Liberal darling Elizabeth Warren was even booed a bit. The ironic line in her speech: “There is a huge difference between people fighting for a level playing field and the people fighting to keep the system rigged,” reminded the crowd that the Dems hadn’t provided a level playing field. They were reminded by Ms. Warren that their adored Bernie, and they had been  and that set them off.  Didn’t the intelligent Ms. Warren think that might happen? It was so predictable. Don’t worry Lizzie, the public has the attention span of a fruit fly and they’ll be back to swallowing your lies very soon.

Thing settled down by all accounts after an unexpected intervention by Maine delegate and state Sen. Diane Russell joined the program, unscheduled, to calm the crowd.

Sanders then took the stage to a standing ovation lasting several minutes, Sanders launched into a speech very similar to the one he delivered earlier this month in New Hampshire, when he endorsed Clinton. “This election is about ending the 40-year decline of our middle class,” he said.

Sanders Tells Backers: Get On Board With Clinton. And the crowd quieted. So evidently they will heed his words and the chaos will diminish. There were still a few boos to be heard but it appear the herd has been tamed. Are we surprised? Is the love affair with Bernie over now that he’s shown he’s not the honest Socialist he claimed to be but just another politician?

Pundits far and wide are putting their spin on last night’s show.  State Sen. Diane Russell claimed that the anger was what democracy looks like. Funny the Dems didn’t think so when it happened on the right.

I will give the Bernie Bots credit, they had more guts and stuck with it longer, at the convention anyway, than the #NeverTrumpers. It was the Trumpers that did the booing at the RNC Freak Show.

We’ll find more to report as the day progresses and everyone rushes to bash the convention, spin the convention or just scurry to get their worth into print or video.

As for me my primary concern is that long after I am dead I will find myself voting for a Democrat as I did in my bad old days. And that’s just unacceptable. As is it for me today. I am and will remain #NeverTrump but I am always implacably #NeverHillary!

    Good morning everyone,
Just read an article about polling – interesting tidbit about poll showing Drumpf ahead by 2 points conducted via online/e-mail. Really!!!!!!

Only natural for Trump to get a post convention bump. And he did. I pay no attention to online polls – they mean nothing but the RCP averages show Trump ahead.

The chaos at the DNC currently going on helps Trump and hurts Hillary. But I really believe that the Dems will emerge somewhat “united” by the end of Thursday night.

      Unless something else happens.

The base of both parties is unhappy. What that will mean a little further down the road I’m not sure.

After Sanders Speech, MSNBC Interviews Three Straight Bernie Supporters Who Still Won’t Support Clinton

Three separate Bernie Sanders supporters interviewed by MSNBC at the Democratic National Convention Monday night all expressed their dislike for Hillary Clinton and being unmoved by the call to get behind her campaign.

It is interesting. And seems to be very well thought out.

Here’s another take on a 3rd party run:

These Numbers Say A Third Party Can Win The Presidency

You don’t need a majority, or even a plurality, of electors to win the presidency. Let me explain.

For those who were serious about their Never Trump hashtags (or who would have been if they were on Twitter), it’s time to start rallying for a third-party candidate for the 2016 election. A third-party candidate isn’t just a protest against the system, but a viable chance at sparing the country the disaster that would be a Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton presidency.

So we have the unbelievably hypocritical and infuriating speech from Michelle Obama that is being praised all over the place – once again going on abt waking up in a House built by slaves, but then talking abt how great America is. Evidently, as others have pointed out, she has forgotten what she said just 8 years ago:

She isn’t the only hypocrite around, though. Politics is full of them and none more obvious than RNC Chairman, Reince Priebus, who is now telling Democrats to do something he would not allow from Republicans – to “vote their conscience”:

Proving once again that neither party is free of hypocrisy. In fact both parties are carpeted wall to wall with hypocrites.

I had to laugh listening to Glenn Beck when he called the Convention the “Night of 1000 Victims”.

Beck also was very flattering about how well the Convention was staged – not the people but the process and the way it was stage managed. This was better than the extravaganza that we expected from Trump. He failed to deliver – the DNC did not.

Tonight the DNC heads into BLM territory. Is that so far from the average American that it will harm them? Who the heck knows anymore.

Beck claims that the DNC and this convention has gone full on socialist perhaps even communist. I’m not sure I disagree.

    • amarissa Says:

God knows I have never been a fan of the Obamas but I thought her speech was beautiful and her emotion was genuine. The production of the DNC Convention, so far, has been spot on especially the way they put it together by themes and videos. The Republican Convention was the worst in history not only boring but the fact that Melania plagiarized a speech by MO was horrible. Republicans did not boo the fact that Melania admires MO. I could not believe they told the world of her admiration for the enemy and the Trumpsters did not make a sound!

      • kenoshamarge Says:

I thought Michelle Obama’s speech was a bunch of crap and don’t believe she meant a word of it. This is the woman who said she had never been proud of her country until it nominated her husband. Now she’s all loud and proud? Baloney. She’s as big a phony as her spouse IMO.

So I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree.

DNC Protests Reveal Another Party In Crisis

The Democratic National Convention this week will illuminate a reality the mainstream media has been eager to downplay: the GOP isn’t the only party in crisis.

Up to this point in the election cycle, the national news media has focused more on Trump’s usurpation of the GOP than the simmering civil war within the Democratic Party. This week in Philly, the simmering could easily come to a boil as the left wing of the party asserts its anger and frustration. “We’re here because the nomination was stolen from us,” one thirty-something Vermont woman told me. “Our democracy is rigged.”

    • kenoshamarge Says:

Yup, it’s over at the Right Scoop too. After bragging about how rich he was he can’t even cough up a few thousand to pay for the kids that performed for him. Or set up a damn fold up table. He just keeps showing what a petty, cheap, little man he is.

      And Trumpanzees don’t care.

Meanwhile, Trump expresses yet another liberal policy while acknowledging it isn’t “very Republican” and implying Republicans don’t like to “help people…” Still cannot believe the Reps dell for this crap:
