Abortion Issue Lost *Open Thread*

The left would have you think the abortion issue is settled. Perhaps they’re right. Because we who are pro-life seem to always lose the argument. We seem to be losing all the battles. Which will in time lead to losing the war.

There might be a majority of people against abortion if they knew the truth. If they knew what actually happens. If they knew about one of the evils that is, in my opinion, slowly and surely bringing this country down. Abortion can never be accepted by any civilized or Christian society.

Fortunately for the pro-abortion crowd the media agrees with them and so reports non of the negative things about it. In their bias and corruption they have become as evil as those they support.

As Ben Shapiro points out when the truth comes out the pro-abortion crowd are particularly repulsive.

When Abortion Fans Let The Truth Slip Out

In fact, abortion as birth control is implicit in their new set of revisions to the Democratic Party platform. The latest version of the DNC document calls for revocation of all restrictions on abortion at the state and federal levels — yes, all, including partial-birth abortion, the gruesome procedure in which late-term children are carved up in the womb. They want you to fund abortions, too, both at home and abroad.

That’s not “safe, legal and rare.” That’s “let’s kill as many babies as we want.”

And Hillary Clinton agrees with all of this. On Monday, she tweeted: “This fight isn’t over: The next president has to protect women’s health. Women won’t be ‘punished’ for exercising their basic rights.” Babies are not a punishment; they’re a gift. But Clinton believes babies are only a gift if the mother decides that she wants it. Otherwise the baby is merely a collection of cells.

Of course Hillary agrees with all of this. She’s a liberal. She’s an Alinskyite. She and all the liberals, including those that falsely claim to be Christians have no soul. They defend the indefensible.

As for where Donald Trump stands on this, or any other issue, who the hell knows? Probably not even Trump himself.

Presenting killing the child you carry within your body as a health issue is particularly disgusting to me. What part of killing a baby is about your health? The only health issue I see is a mental health one.

The fact that people see nothing wrong with it simply stuns me.

What about the loud-mouthed liberals that claim those on the right are racist? They don’t want you to know that the abortion they defend, the abortion they make particularly convenient in black neighbor hoods was first suggested and now seems to be continuing the idea of genocide.

Once this issue became about women’s “health” and about “reproductive rights” the issue was lost.

When images of baby body parts in petri dishes for sale don’t make a difference to the public you know the issue is lost.

I don’t know when it happened and I don’t know how many are affected but somewhere along the way we have become an immoral society that has lost it’s soul.

Look at that number to the right – 48 million, 589 thousand, 993 abortions. In most cases there was a choice that was made. That first and most important choice was to have sex without “protection.”  That’s the important choice because without the idiocy of having sex without protection if you don’t want to get pregnant there would be no need for 48 million, 589 thousand, 993 abortions.

I don’t understand how anyone can disconnect their brain  so that if they want it, it’s a baby and if don’t it’s just a blob of tissue. How can a conscience work that way?

We can argue about when life begins and that’s a legitimate conversation to have. There are good people who argue at conception and others that believe at the quickening. No one should be taken seriously that believes it is possible to abort a baby that could survive outside the womb and not have it anything but murder.

Unless women are the victim of rape or incest they made a choice. They chose to have sex without birth control and got pregnant. Now for some reason they seem to think it’s okay to kill the result of that encounter.

If the father even knows that she got pregnant, if he isn’t long gone, he is most likely happy with a decision to abort since he will not be held financially responsible.  They both made a choice and now scurry to kill the only one that didn’t have a choice. Makes her and him, if he even knows she got pregnant, rather revolting people doesn’t it?

There have been millions of words written for and against abortion. My little rant is just a drop in an ocean of words. There was a time when I was pro-choice. It was a position taken out of ignorance and out of a conviction that I had no right to make a decision for anyone else. I knew my own decision was that I would NEVER have an abortion. It was wrong. It would be killing my baby.

It took years for that to evolve to where I see that I was trying to justify something that cannot be justified. If it was wrong for me – if it was murder if I did it – why was it all right for someone else to kill their baby? Even for a live and let live person such as I the choice became clear. Abortion is wrong. It is immoral. It is murder.

I think this issue as well as so many other moral and ethical issues is lost. Because we as a decent society are lost. I hope we find ourselves. I wish I thought we would.

Thank you for this, Marge. I appreciate you adding your words to this issue.

Like you, my thinking has evolved on this critical issue as well. As science has advanced, we now know WAY more abt what is going on in utero than we used to know, or as pro-abortion folks claimed. That those on the pro-abortion side are so willing to abort fetuses even late in the pregnancy is deplorable to me. While I can understand a woman who has been raped or is the victim of incest would not want to carry that baby to term, I do not understand ANYONE who thinks even 20 weeks is not long enough of a window. WTH?? WOW.

Great piece. Thank you, my friend!

I just don’t understand why in an age when contraceptives are safe, easily accessible and cost very little why there is any need for the number of abortions.

I honestly wonder if the liberals aren’t pushing birth control harder is because they want to hang on to this issue. That is truly evil.

    Another excellent thread, Marge,

In the 40 years since Roe v Wade, we have cycled from safe, rare and legal to practices which I found abhorrent which says quite bit about our society and value system. Personally I want government out of the bedroom yet want the ‘players’ to pay for their behavior except in the case of rape and incest.

The comments are hilarious – the trumpests are just as obnoxious as the obamabots in defending their ‘chosen idol’ and disparaging those who write articles/threads about their hero.

Andrew Malcolm – The real motive behind Trump’s presidential bid -Trump’s new TV line-up of shows (a bit tongue in cheek)

    • kenoshamarge Says:

If anything the Trumpanzees are worse than the Obamabots – although it is close. Both are people without the ability to think. Both are cults. Both are racist. Both are obnoxious.

If you and your mob want a “safe space” to remain unchallenged, build a tree house. You want to slander the country, expect some pushback. You want to wear a shirt with a murderous dictator on it, knock yourself out. You want to hate this country, feel free, but expect the disrespect you display to be returned tenfold.

A friend had this story at Facebook. It is most appropriate to your excellent post, Marge. I recommend getting some Kleenex before watching the video in the article:

    • kenoshamarge Says:

Thank you for sharing this Rev. And yes, I did need a Kleenex.

It fits in with something I’ve read several times in different places:

Some who had lost a loved one to cancer in his grief and anger shook his fist and yelled at God:

“Why didn’t you send someone that would cure cancer?” God answered–I did. But his mother aborted him”

How many good things have NOT happened because the people God sent into the world never made it because they were aborted? You cannot abort 48 million people and not flush away some who would change the world in some way.

Some might only have brought a little joy into one or two lives – isn’t that worth something?

      • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

Oh, wow, Marge – that is a powerful quote indeed. WOW…

And you are right – there are SO many remedies available now that the abortion count should be significantly lower. Aborting after the first trimester is abhorrent, never mind FIVE MONTHS and beyond. How the hell did we GET here?!?!

The press keeps us focused on one of the two scumbags that might become president and the scumbag that IS president is doing things no president has the right to do.

But thank goodness Mitch McConnell is on the job – bragging about how he helped take down the Tea Party.

  12. Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

This is a powerful response to Colin Kapernick by a police officer who was one of those put on leave after shooting a young black man. Read it and see why http://conservativetribune.com/cop-shot-minority-sends-kaepernick/

    • kenoshamarge Says:

It is not only a powerful response it is a good example of the difference between a good man and a spoiled punk.

This police officer wrote from his heart with wit, wisdom and decency.

Kaepernick wore socks with pigs in police uniforms on them like some 12 year old kid.

Game, set and match in the manhood and decency to the police officer.

Here’s a little good news abt Murphy, Marco Rubio’s opponent in the upcoming election: http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/294374-election-watchdog-scrutinizing-florida-dem-senate-candidate

Now, I recognize that just because he may be a crook doesn’t mean the Dems won’t still vote for him, but I hope it helps Rubio to win in a landslide…

    • kenoshamarge Says:

Here’s hoping Rubio can win in a state Trump seems determined to lose.

Isn’t is funny that Rubio was never trusted after playing patty-cake with the gang of 8 and yet Trump seems to be “evolving” into exactly what they proposed.

Because of Trump and the vile Trumpanzees the “solution” of the Gang of Eight is probably the best we will ever get now. I’d like to take their damn wall and shove it where the sun don’t shine on every last one of the fools.
