There doesn’t seem to be a much of an interest by the media elites in covering the massive failure of ObamaCare. Health care for everyone was to be Obama’s Legacy. That and bringing an end to racial tensions. That’s 0 for 2 Sparky.

When media does cover the issue it’s a quick mention and back to Trump’s groping problems. They believe people would rather listen to “news” about sex, which doesn’t affect them, than massive health care premium increases that do. They are, sadly,  in far too many instances, correct in their assessment.  SMH.

Joe Heller

There aren’t many mentions of the corruption of Hillary Clinton either but then it’s long been a given that media is as corrupt as she is. Which is why I don’t indulge in the empty “news” calories of the alphabet soup channels – ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, PBS and FOX. No information nutrition in any of those places. It’s all vitamin B.S. of one kind or another.

Let’s continue our discussion of the complete and total failure of ObamaCare. Which is failing exactly as designed. Now that it has failed the Dems can push for what they wanted all along – single payer socialist health care. How wonderful that will be – just like the wonderful care the bureaucracy has given at the VA. Yay, we can all be treated just like we’ve allowed our government to treat our vets. And it will serve us right for not rising up and demanding an end to this travesty.

The first clue that we were all being punked was when the Dems named ObamaCare the “Affordable Care Act”.  Is there anyone with a functioning brain cell that believed this behemoth would be affordable? A bill written by Dems for Dems and voted unanimously aye by Dems?

Mary Katherine Ham explains how this farce has impacted her family. She also makes note of how what Obama promised and what we got are two very different things.

When President Obama sold ObamaCare to the American people, he promised three things. 1) That we could keep our plans if we liked them. 2) That the new system would offer competition between great options through an ObamaCare marketplace, and 3) That our premiums would go down. Not “go up slower” or “go up but eventually go down,” but go down— $2,500 was the figure.

Since ObamaCare in all it’s horror has been inflicted on the American People, but not the politicians determined to inflict it, it has proved to be a consistent failure. From the beginning when the hapless Obama Administration couldn’t even get a decent website going to now when all the chickens are coming home to roost ObamaCare has been a disaster. One that the GOP was wise to condemn and keep at a distance.

If you wonder why the GOP, having been given the gift of the House and then the Senate because of this horrible AFC disaster hasn’t driven a stake through the heart of ObamaCare you don’t understand how politics and politicians work. ObamaCare is a wonderful stick for the GOP to beat the Dems with – why would they want it to go away?

Gary Varvel

The GOP and FOX news can put all Obama’s recorded promises on a loop and play them endlessly to show him lying to the public. But unless they show themselves willing to do something besides talk the public should have no more use for them than for the Dems that inflicted this atrocity on us. It is long past time the GOP put it’s money where it’s big mouth is. For your own health, don’t hold your breath.

Derek Hunter at Townhall does a great job of explaining ObamaCare from the first lie to the chickens coming home to roost. Obamacare’s Chickens Come Home To Roost In his very good explanation of how this brutal hoax on the American People can to be is a paragraph which I believe needs to be tattooed on every Democrat Politician’s forehead:

Republicans should offer only complete repeal and replacement with a free-market system offering nationwide competition, tax credits for the individual market and Health Savings Account-heavy incentives with cost transparency.

Other than complete repeal and replacement, Republicans should block every proposal to tweak, enhance or otherwise alter what those who created this mess proclaimed settled law that could not be changed. They made their bed. Time for them to lie in it.

That sounds like a good idea to me. Now does anyone think the GOP has the guts, the will or even the inclination to do it? Me neither. The media might talk mean about them. They might be called racists. Someone might say they don’t care about poor people. There are all manner of excuses and the GOP will use every one. Because that’s what they do. Make promises and excuses and name Post Offices. Other than that the country is better off when Congress is in recess and Obama’s on vacation.

I think that we see how bad this is going to be for Obama and perhaps for Hillary Clinton when even NBC has started telling the truth.

President Obama repeatedly assured Americans that after the Affordable Care Act became law, people who liked their health insurance would be able to keep it. But millions of Americans are getting or are about to get cancellation letters for their health insurance under Obamacare, say experts, and the Obama administration has known that for at least three years.

Four sources deeply involved in the Affordable Care Act tell NBC News that 50 to 75 percent of the 14 million consumers who buy their insurance individually can expect to receive a “cancellation” letter or the equivalent over the next year because their existing policies don’t meet the standards mandated by the new health care law. One expert predicts that number could reach as high as 80 percent. And all say that many of those forced to buy pricier new policies will experience “sticker shock.”

So now after the damage is done NBC is telling us some truth. I’d say better late than never but I’m not sure I believe that. Better to have acted like a news organization in the first place. No place in my life for news people waving pom-poms.

I want every branch of government employee to be subject to obamacare, like the rest of us. Congress stuck us with it, I think they should get to enjoy the same benefits. The Courts made it a legal, so they should get the same benefits too. The executive branch came up with the idea and pushed it through, so the really need to get the same benefits. It is only fair.

Absolutely Helen! They have no right to inflict on us what they aren’t willing to live with themselves. And NO damn free healthcare. They are elected officials not potentates. This getting rich through government “service” is an abomination!

I could not agree more – if Americans have to suffer under this overly burdensome law, that means ALL Americans should have to do so, especially the jackasses who VOTED for it!

I believe this man. And IMO being attacked by the slimeball David Brock from Media Matters should be a badge of honor.

That said, the 3 on the couch are Trumpanzees and I have no use for any of them.

Once again, the Affordable Care Act’s imaginary tax becomes a penalty.

Sure, more Americans will have coverage under the Affordable Care Act — it’ll be mandated and subsidized, after all — but we’re going raise a bunch of taxes, probably kick you off that plan you love, drive your premiums higher, sue obstinate nuns who refuse to chip in for condoms, and penalize everyone who decides they don’t want to participate. Sound good, America?

First of all, if the health of your “marketplace” hinges, not only on mandating the product but imposing severe fines to force the issue, your experiment is not successful — not in any way that Democrats promised it would be, and certainly not in any way a healthy “market” functions.

Hey American Citizens, just wondering how you like living in a dictatorship after being residents of a free country for over 200 years. Thank the Dems for doing it and the GOP for refusing to fight against it.

Oh, and don’t forget to thank the parasites that expect government to support them from cradle to grave. Sure beats having to get up and go to work in the morning doesn’t it?

    • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

EXCELLENT post, Marge. You know this whole Obama care thing has been one of major interest to me since before the damn thing got passed by the Dems in the dead of night after manipulating all the rules to get their way. It was, is, and will be, a terrible law that is costing many of us WAY more than we should have to pay for less care. Horrible, horrible law.

What amazes me are those Dems who still defend it. Just the other day an old friend poo-poohed the massive cost increase someone mentioned had happened to them as a beneficial precursor to “universal health care.” Uh huh. Great.

They did what they set out to do – destroy the healthcare system to get their way. And Reps let them do it.

      • kenoshamarge Says:

Of course the Dems defend it – they own it.

How any private citizen can do so is beyond me. Willful blindness in support of a political party no matter what they do or how they harm the country and the people is sad to see. It makes me look at those people in a whole new way. They simply aren’t the nice, kind people I thought they were.
