🎥 The Year Media Credibility Died 📺    Open Thread

A large portion of the population has mistrusted, loathed and ignored whatever the MSM decided to spew as “news” for a long time. Only the ignorant or biased believed them.

Their real fall from anything resembling grace came in 2007 and 2008 with the repulsive coverage of Barack Obama. There was no semblance of journalism from many/most of the MSM as they giggled and worshipped about him like a bunch of teenage girls seeing the Beatles back when they first hit our shores.

From a professional standpoint their behavior was nauseating, shameful and downright creepy.

As usual cartoonists were there to lampoon the fools in the press who slavered at Obama’s heels like adolescents with a terminal case of puppy-love.

Brilliant cartoonist Michael Ramirez was only one of the many conservative cartoonists whose cartoons demonstrated what the media had become.

Their juvenile love affair continues, for the most part, to this day. There is little Obama can do or say that shakes their adoration. It is and has been grotesque.

Eric Allie captured their infantile behavior in the masterly cartoon below.

There have been hundreds of cartoons over the past 9 years that showcased the idiotic and immature, not to mention dishonest, glorification by the media for this rather mediocre and petty little POTUS. One really great one from just a few days ago shows where this has lead the media.

They are the authors of their own demise. They are the for their own lack of credibility, except with the aforementioned ignorant or partisans.

Once people might have found such bastions of liberalism as the New York Times repellent in their blatant partisanship they now simply ignore most of what comes from those pages or online content. They aren’t worth acknowledging except to point out more of their malfeasance against their own profession.

Pathetically, in their own arrogance, they evidently cannot learn that they now longer rule the roost. They are as disrespected as that crowing dung hill cock of yesteryear.

The conservative cartoon world continues to pound media for it’s obscene dishonesty. Large numbers of Americans agree.

The liberal cartoons, for the most part, are as dishonest and disgusting as their print and talking-head peers.

Benghazi is a prime example of their partisanship. Even the death of fellow Americans couldn’t make them report honestly as A.F. Branco showcased. This is just one of his many brilliant depictions of media malfeasance.

All this bias and partisanship from those who are supposed to be the watchdog for the people is nothing to concern us because we have all those wonderful fact-checkers. Unfortunately they seem just a tad biased too.

Now as we can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel, as we near the end of the Obama occupation of the White House, after taking one last expensive vacation, the media continues to love him. Like an abused woman they don’t seem to care when he treats them poorly – their kind of sick love is like that woman who just cannot stop believing that this time, this one time, he really means it when he says he’s changed. Except they don’t need to see him change because they never really saw Obama. They only saw what they wanted to see.

If there are none so blind as those who will not see there are certainly none so blind as those that willfully, consistently and foolishly refuse to see. That can and is expected from teenagers in the throes of their first love affair. From professionals with the job of telling people the truth it is not only repulsive it is dangerous to the health of our country.

If media seems to have suddenly turned over a new leaf in their rabid coverage of Donald Trump we should not be fooled. There are enough negative things about this repulsive man who is our President-elect to satisfy the most partisan liberal media type. Yet they, in their infinite stupidity cannot just tell the truth. They lie, they twist and they write and speak as hyperbolically as the worst of politicians.

The liberal cartoons are no better. There is one repellent cartoonist over at Cagle.com who constantly and consistently portrays Trump as a Nazi. Once they start using the Nazi label they lose me. In their insanity they are forcing those of us that don’t actually like Trump to defend him. I believe Donald Trump is many bad things, a Nazi isn’t one of them.

Cartoonist Marian Kamensky portrays Trump as a Nazi frequently. Cartoonist John Graham’s cartoons are too graphic and vulgar for me to copy and paste.

It isn’t enough for them to tell the truth, and they have so much ammunition, they need to inflate and lie.

I am not a fan of Donald Trump. I was #NeverTrump and I find him a disgusting, repulsive man. But the election is over and I now wait to see what he will do. I am hoping I was wrong about him. Hoping I was wrong because if I was 100% right it will be a 100% disaster for our country. Some of his cabinet choices have given me hope.

His choice for Ambassador to Israel is one of the most noteworthy of those choices and make me very happy.

And media gives me little hope that they have learned anything by the stunning loss by Hillary Clinton.

We could hope that media would have learned something in the past year. A year when they lost all semblance of credibility. A year when they committed suicide publicly and beyond all reasonable doubt.

Now they blather on about “fake News”? The hypocrisy is overwhelming.

Hypocrisy is nothing new in the MSM. Lies are nothing new in the MSM. Silence on topics they don’t want to cover is nothing new in the MSM. (See Gosnell Kemit for prime example.)

The fact is we are used to them being lying scum. Isn’t that sad in a great country like ours? Isn’t that pathetic that American men and women who should be informing us are propagandizing instead?

I end with a cartoon  that expresses my outrage better than any words I can find. And once again it is Michael Ramirez:

What an excellent compilation of cartoons depicting the duplicity of the MSM as well as their ongoing love affair with Obama. They have REFUSED to hold him to account (more often than not) to such n extent they have made themselves a laughingstock.

As an example, just yesterday I heard a CNN reporter laud Obama for reducing the Unemployment Numbers. And she did so with a straight face. Not acknowledging the VAST number of people who are PERPETUALLY unemployed and have dropped off the rolls, how so many of those employed under the Obama regime are PART-TIME but want to be full-time, and on and on and on it goes…

The rule of holes is when you are in one quit digging. There fools just can’t seem to help themselves. And CNN is becoming as bad as MSNBC.

Gov. Scott Walker endorses convention of states for a balanced budget amendment –

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker (R) has become the latest addition to a growing list of influential figures endorsing an Article V Convention of States, to pass constitutional amendments to limit the size and scope of the federal government.

Ben Shapiro: The New York Times Thinks Trump ‘Stole’ A Supreme Court Seat. Because They’re Stupid.

No matter how it plays out, Americans must remember one thing above all: The person who gets confirmed will sit in a stolen seat. It was stolen from Barack Obama, a twice-elected president who fulfilled his constitutional duty more than nine months ago by nominating Merrick Garland, a highly qualified and widely respected federal appellate judge. It was stolen by top Senate Republicans, who broke with longstanding tradition and refused to consider any nominee Mr. Obama might send them, because they wanted to preserve the court’s conservative majority.

This, of course, neglects the fact that Vice President Joe Biden, back when he was a Senator, supported the identical policy. In 1992, Biden, who then chaired the Judiciary Committee, said that a Supreme Court vacancy “that would occur in the full throes of an election year” should require the president to avoid naming someone to fill the seat. “It would be our pragmatic conclusion that once the political season is underway, and it is, action on a Supreme Court nomination must be put off until after the election campaign is over.”

ICYMI: John Kerry just gave one of the most anti-Israel speeches of all time

Secretary of State John Kerry delivered a monumentally disastrous foreign policy address Wednesday in which he, in his capacity as the top diplomat for the United States of America, officially declared that the only functioning democracy in the Middle East and the United States’ best ally in the region, Israel, must choose between its Jewish heritage and democracy.

And in another blow, we will now be losing the voice of a staggering intellect as Thomas Sowell announces his retirement:

I admit, I can certainly understand Politics not holding much allure these days…

Happy retirement, Dr. Sowell. Thank you for sharing your brilliance with us for so long…

Just to lighten things up a bit, I have to share this hilarious video IHeartHorses had up this morning:

I don’t know if Jordan has any musical talent or not, but now I WANT to know! Ahahaha…

    • kenoshamarge Says:

More talent in that equine musician than in all of rap music. More class too. Plus he’s much better looking.
