☕️ Open Thread ☕️

Believe it or not, I’ve got nothing to say this morning. So treat this as an open thread.

Let us all hope this moving day for the Rev goes smooth and easy.  http://rs279.pbsrc.com/albums/kk143/faeini1/sm67.gif~c200

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

This woman is a lawyer and was Attorney General for California believe it or not.

I’m beginning to believe that being a liberal actually does destroy brain cells.

Kinda makes you want to slam you hear against a wall, doesn’t it? Even then, it would make no sense…

Women’s March Convicted Terrorist Agrees to Be Deported in Exchange for No Jail Time

Convicted terrorist and Women’s March organizer Rasmea Yousef Odeh is scheduled to be deported after lying on her citizenship application, The Washington Times reported. Odeh, a Palestinian, agreed to be deported in exchange for no jail time after it emerged that she lied about having been convicted of Islamic terrorism.

Odeh is scheduled to appear in court April 25 in Detroit, where she plans to plead guilty to “unlawful procurement of naturalization” in a deal that will allow her to leave the United States to avoid up to 18 months in prison.

She had been scheduled to undergo another trial after a U.S. appeals court vacated her 2014 conviction, saying an expert witness should have been allowed to testify that she suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder from allegedly being tortured in prison when she gave the false answers.

The 69-year-old Palestinian activist was convicted in the 1969 supermarket bombing in Israel that killed two Hebrew University students.

Seriously? WOW. I would love to have her out of the country, but she still. Holy smokes!

Reporter for Tenn. university station fired after lawmakers complain

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A reporter for a radio station at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga has been fired after state lawmakers complained she failed to disclose her presence during a meeting on a state transgender bathroom bill.

The Chattanooga Times-Free Press reports lawmakers said WUTC-FM reporter Jacqui Helbert failed to properly identify herself as a reporter during meetings March 7 between lawmakers and a group of high school students. She worked for WUTC, an affiliate of National Public Radio.

Helbert said she wore a press ID badge to the public meeting at the Capitol, was wearing headphones and carrying bulky radio equipment. She said she never concealed her intentions.

“It was glaringly obvious who I was,” Helbert said.

“If the politicians can threaten to withhold money from the University and control the reporters, it totally discounts having (the) press,” Helbert said.

Robert Eno: Party and purity be damned: Repealing Obamacare is about keeping promises

Dennis Prager has been a strong voice for liberty and free market principles. His series of educational videos at PragerU help people to understand conservative principles.

That’s why it is troubling to see him attack those who stand up for those principles in his latest column. Prager attacks the “purists” who he says killed Donald Trump’s dream of repealing Obamacare. But we all know that isn’t what happened.

Hey, just taking a moment to check in. The movers are here, and they have moved through this house like Sherman through Georgia. WOW. Watching these young men literally run up and down the stairs is amazing.

Even better, we just got our Certificate of Occupancy, so YAY for that! That means the movers can move the stuff into the house! 🙂

Hope everyone is having a great day!

    • kenoshamarge Says:

Yay for the certificate of occupancy and the energy of the movers.

And remember my friend, all the boxes do not have to be emptied and put away right away. If I ever move again, Heaven forbid, I expect you to remind me of that.

      • Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy Says:

Thank you, Marge – I appreciate the reminder!

Since we don’t have the actual Certificate yet, we weren’t allowed to stay in the new house, so Suzy and I just checked into a hotel. WHEW, what a long day. Hopefully, tomorrow all of that will be resolved and we can take all go to the house the animals and us). Fingers crossed!

Oh, and we are totally too old for this moving crap! 🙂

        • kenoshamarge Says:

Glad you have moved all your stuff in – even if the damn bureaucracy won’t let “you” move in. What b.s.!!

And IMHO I was too old to move the second time I did it when I was 26.

Now? A big move is from the kitchen to the living room. Anything more is more than I want to tackle.

William A. Jacobson: Dems forcing the Nuclear Option would unite the Republican Party

I’m not sure the Republican Party ever has been united. There always were factions at odds with each other and at each other’s throats.

It reminds me of the Tom Lehrer song National Brotherhood Week, paraphrasing:

Well the RINOs hate the Tea Party, and the Tea Party hates the Neocons, and the Neocons hate libertarians, and everybody hates D.C.

Whatever momentary, purely superficial unity was created by the Trump presidential win and the hold of the Senate and House quickly evaporated during the Obamacare repeal and replace battle.

It’s civil war again in the Republican Party.

So what we need is something to unite around, something that is a clear victory.

Chuck Schumer is just the guy to give it to us. He’s been blustering for a filibuster of Neil Gorsuch’s nomination to the Supreme Court. Gorsuch is so clearly qualified, so clearly should be approved, so clearly a intellectual giant compared to Sotomayor and Kagan, who sailed through, that Republicans have been making clear we are ready to go Nuclear Option.
