I thought for this weekend I would combine two of my favorite things, puppies and cartoons.ย  Thus a bunch of doggy cartoons. Along with all the other puppy stuff I can fit in.

Have you ever been a victim of puppy, or doggy, eyes? You know, that moment when they look up at you and you know they’ve won?

“You mean it isn’t time for my walk yet?”ย  Guess who is being trained to go and get the leash? It ain’t the pup.

Did you ever notice that when human put words in a dogs mouth the dog sounds a lot like a human? Personally I think they’re better than us.

Then again, maybe this pup is thinking what the text says he’s thinking. Maybe just as he’s thinking, “you’re going to rub my nose in my what?”

If this adorable puppy below is really thinking what the text says he’s a lot smarter than most people. Plus, I agree with him more than most people. Plus I like him, even at first glance more than most people.

Off the Mark: Son, what you're about to witness is known as a teaching moment.

Puppy pictured below is probably right about “normal” – but who said normal is better anyway?

Love the puppies. My daughter and I knew not ever to go to an animal shelter just “to look”…Ha! We always came back with a new puppy.

I’m too old to get a puppy but I had hoped to get an older rescue dog. Unfortunately my health hasn’t allowed that yet. But I haven’t given up hope.

Until then, I cuddle family and friends dogs and what dog doesn’t need an extra belly scratch or two? It makes them happy and me too.

I love dogs. I’m thinking about another one, but afraid I’m too old, too. What’s a good small breed instead of retrievers?

        • kenoshamarge Says:

I don’t do it now because it breaks my heart that I can’t go get one, but I used to look at the pictures of dogs up for rescue at the local shelter. There were so many and I would have liked to take all of them. But one always takes your heart. You’ll know when you see it.

The one I can’t forget was a little chihuahua-terrier mix. His name was Charlie and he captured my heart. Now I don’t look because I am not content to just window shop. I’m hoping soon to be able to get a dog – older maybe 7 or 8 years old. Middle-aged for a dog but past the rambunctious stage for house-broken well for an old bat like me. I want one SO bad.

WATCH: Shep Smith Tries To Hit Trump With Old Tweets, General SLAMS Him

Vice Chief of Staff of the United States Army, Gen. Jack Keane:

Listen, something has happened here since those utterings that you just mentioned. The fact is an election was held, and on January 20th, this person became president of the United States.

I think what youโ€™re seeing here frankly is someone who feels a sense of accountability and responsibility as the President of the United States, knowing he has the power to stop the horrendous act thatโ€™s taken place, to do something about it based on the moral underpinnings of this great country of ours, and other God-fearing people in the world.

Mollie Hemingway: Sorry, Democrats, The Obama Spying Scandal Isnโ€™t Going Away

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes on Thursday stepped aside from the probe of Russian actions during the 2016 campaign, saying he needed to deal with a congressional ethics inquiry into claims he improperly disclosed classified information.

Democrats rejoiced at the news. โ€œThe White House made a fool of Chairman Nunes, and he has deeply tarnished his credibility as Chairman and the credibility of his Republican colleagues,โ€ declared Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi. There is no question that this was a blow for the chairman, following his revelation that Obama administration officials had collected information of Trump transition members incidentally, unmasked it, and widely disseminated it. But the victory for Nunesโ€™ critics could be pyrrhic.

US strike sends message to Syria: what it didn’t say

โ€œThis [missile attack] clearly indicates the president is willing to take decisive action when called for,โ€ Secretary of State Rex Tillerson told reporters late Thursday. “I would not in any way attempt to extrapolate that to a change in our policy or posture relative to our military activities in Syria today. There has been no change in that status.โ€

Absolutely LOVE this post! What a fun, and funny, post, Marge!

And thanks so much for the shout out – I miss being here more often! Even now, I am using my cell phone as a “hotspot” because we are still at war with Comcast, apparently. UGH. Very, very frustrating.

On a happier note, Happy Passover to Jewish readers!

Finally, I am so proud of our former Governor, Nikki Haley. She is doing a great job as UN Ambassador (oh, and Suzy met a woman from Boeing on a plane the other day who knows Haley. She said she is just fantastic.): http://thefederalist.com/2017/04/10/facing-first-world-crisis-nikki-haley-easily-outshines-obamas-un-ambassadors

    • kenoshamarge Says:

Haley is awesome! I can see why you were so proud of her as your governor.

Nice to “see” you if only now and then. Go get Comcast and hope to have you back in charge soon.
