Cartoons For A Rainy Day ☂️ Open Thread

Once again I’ll let cartoons and images do most of my talking for me.

Let’s start with this one – because it seems no matter what happens the Clinton’s simply will not go away.

I’ve often commented, as have many others, that when the Democrats/Liberals talk about diversity they don’t mean the same thing that we do.

I can’t remember, is United supposed to be the friendly skies?

More on the not so friendly skies of United. They did themselves some serious damge with this action I would think. And this is where “free” markets are free to work best. Pepole can, or cannot decide if they want to spend their money with an airline that treats it’s customers in such a fashion.

Here’s the story if you missed it:  Watch screaming passenger get dragged off plane after airline overbooked flight

Cartoonists really liked this story which is not good news for United Airlines. Puts a whole new perspective on customer service.

Cartoon by Adam Zyglis -

A wonderful cartoon below from Gary Varvel to honor the innocent dead in Egypt.

Here’s a perfect cartoon showing the former president:

A cartoon showing Nikki Haley teaching Russia, among others, the Southern language.

A delightful cartoon by A.F. Branco skewering the biased media.

Cartoon by A.F.Branco - Direct Hit

Lisa Benson’s cartoon with the Dove of Peace shows how many of us feel these days. “Give peace a chance?” Doesn’t seem like many even give it a thought.

Tax time and we have been promised tax reform. Another promise that I suspect will soon go down in flames. Both parties would rather get nothing of value accomplished than be seen working together.

And just some idea of how difficult tax reform will be. Even if the politicians would consider trying to help the people of this country and not themselves.

Last but not least this cartoon from Glenn McCoy. I just thought it was funny.

Since we haven’t heard from Rev Amy I imagine her on-going war with Comcast is, uh, on-going.  Just want you to know Rev…

Happy Tuesday everyone.

Thanks for the shout out, Marge! And you are absolutely correct – our feud with Comcast IS ongoing. For the third – THIRD – time, someone there closed our service ticket. Bear in mind, Suzy MUST have internet service for her job. It isn’t an option. It is a requirement. For the moment, we are using our cell phones to get internet service, and have already had to bump up level of service for THAT so Suzy can work. It is the worst example of incompetence and poor service I have seen in a while. WOW.

But I love your post – great cartoons, as always! And you are a TOTAL trooper keeping the blog going when I am sure it is not always easy or compelling to do so. You are the best, Marge – thank you so much!

Love and blessings to you and our readers – miss you all!

Miss you too, Cuzin…..and so sorry about Comcast!
Hang in there, ladies! Hopefully better times soon.

        Thanks, Cuz! Miss you!

Yeah, Comcast has been a nightmare. I think we are giving them to the end of the week, and then we will have to coble something together that provides fewer services.

Which is the answer to your question, Marge – no, there really isn’t another provider in this neighborhood. If we don’t have Comcast, that means Hughes Net, which has a monthly limit on internet services, which will be very difficult for Suzy, and a satellite cable provider. We have LOTS of storms in this area, and having had Dish before, it is a PAIN in the rear end in terms of disruption of service on a regular basis.

But at least we would have service.

A friend got us the email address of one of the head honchos for Comcast. Suzy will be emailing him today. If THAT doesn’t get us service, apparently nothing will.

What the heck is wrong with Comcast? Don’t they want customers? WTH?

Sorry this ongoing battle is causing problems when you should just be able to be enjoying you wonderful new house.

Is there no other provider in your area?

Marge…..great as always…. Love the Nikki Haley, and the guy flying out of the United door! “Bless his heart!” LOL

    • kenoshamarge Says:

The Nikki Haley was my favorite. There are always so many good ones that it’s hard to choose but the moment I saw the I knew I had to use it.

United Airlines is really taking some hits for the stupid way they handled the “over-booked” problem.

Now they have the government interested in sticking their nose in:

D.C. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton (D), a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Aviation, said she’s going to formally ask Bill Shuster (R-Pa.), chairman of the Transportation Committee, and Aviation Subcommittee Chairman Frank LoBiondo (R-N.J.) to convene a hearing “to examine this and other incidents on flights.”

IMO just let the market take care of the problem. If people are irate enough about the behavior they won’t “Fly United”. If not then they are saying they are willing to be treated the same. Government intervention will, again IMO, just cause more problems.

WaPo: Susan Rice’s Comments On Syrian Chemical Weapons Was A Total Lie

Former members of the administration are saying that while the deal was sold as a success to the public, they always knew that Assad retained some chemical weapons capacity. So, they lied to us. And who better to defend that deception than former National Security Adviser Susan Rice. The woman behind the other total lie that the Benghazi terror attack was not a well-planned assault executed by an al-Qaeda-affiliated group, (which it was) but a spontaneous protest of an offensive YouTube video.

The Real Casualty In The United Airlines Debacle: Language!

There is something very 1984 in the words that are fluttering around over the strange case of a self-proclaimed doctor being ripped from his seat aboard an airplane, pummeled into submission by three burly men and dragged — quite literally — bloody and screaming down the aisle and off the plane.
