๐Ÿ˜‰ More Cartoon Commentary ๐Ÿ˜„

As usual cartoonists are outingย  buffoons and their buffoonery. Once a comic image has entered their sphere it stays. Thus often showing Putin without a shirt, Trump with little hands, and Elizabeth Warren in Native American regalia.

With their cartoons they paint a picture in our minds that often stays longer than the best thought out column by a “serious” columnist. If you can find a serious columnist these days. There are few around. Most are opinionated buffoons IMO.

So – let us take a look at what the cartoonists are saying to start off our week:

Cartoonist Jake Fuller tells a sad truth that should concern us all. I suspect it only concerns those of us who don’t hate Trump or love Trump. Because we have the God-given brains to judge him as we should judge all politicians. Cheer when they do something right and boo when they don’t.

Love them or hate them cults are for arrested development adolescents posing as adults IMO.

The ever brilliant A.F. Branco continues to be brilliant and draws zingers nearly every day. CNN is a frequent target and rightfully so IMO.

Another brilliant, IMO, and prolific cartoonist, Henry Payne likes to take potshots at the “greenies” for some of their silliness. France made this one impossible to resist.

The always brilliant Michael Ramirez is concerned about North Korea and their crazy leader. Although the problem with North Korea has festered for 60+ years look for those on the left to blame Trump. As they blame everything on Trump.

Bruce Tinsley shows us the problem for newsreaders when their bias gets in the way of just reporting facts.

Ben Garrison, among many others targets CNN. They should have remembered that their job was to report the news not be the news.

Cartoonist Rick Kollinger is among many right-wing cartoonists that isn’t at all happy with the GOP and their tinkering with Obamacare. He, and we, know what they promised and this ain’t it!

Glenn McCoy reminds us of the dangers and disasters that are caused by Socialism. If you aren’t familiar with Illinois politics the “Madigan” in the last panel is Mike Madigan who has run the state from the Illinois House of Representatives for 30 years.

Sometimes the sight of an image makes me scratch my head. Like the one below. Personally I tend to think what Justice Thomas says is worth our time. A man famous for being on Star Trek? Not so much.

Lisa Benson, like Michael Ramirez and many others is concerned not only with North Korea but with China’s seeming indifference toย  Kim Jong Un’sย  increasingly insane and belligerent behavior.

I love how cartoonist Mike Lester, a genius IMO, makes the distinction between what is important to different people. How small does that make the CNN defenders look?

Don’t you love, and agree, with Gary Varvel in the way he portrays the idiots that program you into a nap with their biased, boring, repetitive and monotonous “reporting”?

Glenn McCoy has great fun making fun of the outrage by the media when someone actually fights back. I don’t like Trump’s tweeting even a little. However I can’t help but like the hysterical reaction from the MSM whenever he lands a punch. Which must be often given their constant hysteria.

Cartoonist Tom Stiglich has Poor Ol Wolfie down pat doesn’t he?

Cartoon by Tom Stiglich -

Oh my, here’s that darn A.F. Branco, from Legal Insurrection, being brilliant again. Doesn’t he skewer that idiot Mayor New York voters foolishly elected perfectly?

Cartoon by A.F.Branco - Playing Hooky

Gary Varvel in another great cartoon IMO, suggests that maybe Trump needs to get those media people out of his head. He has more important things to worry about.

Political Cartoons by Gary Varvel

That’s all for now but as always I will hunt down cartoons every day. I’m addicted.

Happy Monday and have a great week.

Excellent post, Marge! I love these cartoons – so spot on.

As for the whole Putin/Trump handshake, we were talking abt that mindset yesterday with an old friend who mentioned the brouhaha over the Angela Merkle/Trump handshake. Seriously, these people need to get a grip already. They have just lost all sense of perspective.

Great post – thanks for the laughs!

The pettiness and the spitefulness is disturbing. I have nearly stopped going to some blogs because of it.

For the #NeverTrump haters even the incident where Trump picked up the Marine’s hat – twice – is somehow turned into a rant against him. This is not the behavior of adults – more like spoiled children who are disappointed because they didn’t get their way.

Politico Attacks Rubio for Tweeting Proverbs, the ‘Most Republican Part of the Bible’

“In short: Proverbs is probably the most Republican book of the entire Bible.”

Rubio had the perfect response to this attack. “Proverbs is the Republican part of the Bible? I don’t think Solomon had yet joined the GOP when he wrote the first 29 chapters of Proverbs,” the Florida senator tweeted.

Republican part of the Bible? Who knew there were Republican and Democrats parts of the bible? What a crock…

Liberal protester arrested for what he said to a GOP staffer about the Virginia shooting

The communications director for Sen. Flake said that Prichard told him, โ€œYou know how liberals are going to solve the Republican problem? They are going to get better aim. That last guy tried, but he needed better aim. We will get better aim.โ€

They live among us and we don’t know who they are until they out themselves. It is a scary world today when this kind of behavior passes a political speech.

You are so right, Marge, cartoons leave a lasting impression and the ones you have chosen sums up the current sad state of affairs.

  7. kenoshamarge Says:

You are so right Piper, I often remember a cartoon long after I’ve forgotten some very good article. They stick with me. Case in point is the Michael Ramirez cartoon about the media and Obama cartoon below. There were hundreds, maybe thousands of good cartoons about this but this one still is the first one that comes to mind when someone mentions the media’s slobbering love affair with Obama.
